It is baloney to put it on the teacher. You kids have books, you kids can learn from the books. If you're failing it is YOUR FAULT. Not the teacher's fault, your fault. Did all of those kids go out and see about tutoring or anything else to help? Nah, bet they didn't. Not every teacher is going to be a good match for every student. Not every boss is going to be a good match for every employee. Deal with it!. . Like I tell my son, you're not going to like all your teachers, and some are going to be out and out wrong about stuff, especially when it's subjective like writing. But you must get As (my son is very academic, no excuses for him not to), so you need to find out what the teacher wants and give it to them, and you need to seek outside help if your teacher sucks. That's the reality of life. Of course, you bring up issues to the proper person, but sometimes change is slow, so you must adapt. (My son's English teacher gives him bad advice on creative writing, something I'm an expert in, but I tell my son, just do what he wants to get As. And then spend all summer getting it out of your head!). . Talk to or write a note to the principal. You obviously feel bad, so fix it.
