It is legal, because they took over your company they may have different policies and guidelines that they follow so you pretty much afto agree to their terms or leave just as with any other job. About not being able to work in the same job field is normal with mostly any "smart" ran business so that you cant learn their inner workings and use that to your advantage for their competitor if you were to leave. The rest seems like pretty standard stuff for employers.. . Nothing much should change if anything at all though.. . If you really dont like it I would suggest is contact their Human Resource office to see if the non-compete you signed is still in effect since the takeover took place. If its not then you could find another job in the same field, if it is might as well stay.. . Good luck

We are supposed to interview a psychiatrist in a certain hospital and we cannot interview him without giving some sort of letter like letter of recommendation with the signature of our concerned teacher, i think...
