  • The Law Office and Mediation Center of Jeannine M. Talbot is located in Torrington, Connecticut. I practice family law primarily in the area of divorce issues such as marital and joint property division, marital debt allocation, spousal support, child support and parenting plans, and post decree modifications. The focus of my law firm is on collaborative law and conflict resolution through the mediation process.

Divorce mediation is an important trend now, especially in light of the current economic downturn. I am a skilled, experienced and certified mediator since 1997, with a strong track record of resolving legal issues in a mutually beneficial way. My goal is to save clients the time and expense of a trial, where possible. I also use my experience as a litigator when your case needs to be tried, rather than mediated.

Fairness, honesty and integrity are principles that we adhere to at the Law Office and Mediation Center of Jeannine M. Talbot. In my law firm’s family law, I see clients who are injured in many ways: physically, emotionally and spiritually. I care for the whole person by handling their legal issues. At my law firm I also have a referral network of professionals and experts such as therapists, counselors, investigators, and other attorneys to ensure that clients get the comprehensive representation that I am known for. Together, we will create realistic goals that align well with your circumstances and with what the law allows in your situation.

I will respond to your questions promptly and return your phone calls within one business day. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss the mediation process in more detail. I am a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. My involvement with the Susan B. Anthony Project is helping women at this domestic violence shelter with legal issues such as divorce proceedings or child custody disputes.

Litigation

I sent a letter of debt validation to a collection agency that has two accounts of mine that are from a phone company. Well yesterday they sent me an account statment with the final balance, and account number and the original creditor name on it. It looks like a statement from tmobile. One is 5 years old the other one is 6 years old already. What should my next step be? And is this considered validation? thanks.

It's summer, school is out in three days, and, we have a business letter due on the last day of school, yay!. . Joking aside, I need some help on writing this. Specifically on how I would introduce myself without using my name, and that I will be in their class next year. I'm supposed to talk about my personal qualities and who I am, but it seems awkward to open the business letter like this.... . Thanks!.

How to write an effective letter?

I don't know where you got the idea that a deed poll is free. It isn't. If you did it via the link below, it would cost you ?64. There are many options to do it much more cheaply.
