You're citing largely downtown areas, which aren't going to be great for a 2-year-old. They're also going to be very expensive.. . There are a lot of things you want, right down to a gated community, that you are simply not going to get in San Diego for $1400 a month. Maybe things like that exist in Arizona, but in San Diego (and California in general) you're dealing with some of the priciest real estate in the country, especially if you're looking in a prime area.. . I wouldn't hold your breath at finding a home or condo like you want for $1400 for a single month. Maybe look on Craigslist -- you never know who you'll find who wouldn't mind housesitters while they vacation for a month themselves. But beware of scams left and right there, too.. . In all frankness, you may very well want to talk to hotels in those areas and see if any will give you a discounted monthly rate. I wouldn't hold your breath since it's during peak summer tourist season.. . Anyway, you are almost certainly not going to find something in those areas that's gated, a full home/condo, spacious, new, clean, with a kitchen, etc. That's indeed a lot of things to want, and you're not getting them all, especially through Yahoo Answers.. . Your price is going to have to go up significantly, or else you need to compromise in a lot of places. Southern California is generally not walkable -- you probably need a car for starters. Don't worry, your walkable plan would jack you up for things like groceries anyway. And if your budget is fixed, you're going to have to take what you can get wherever it is and whatever condition it is. Most of your requirements for being new, spacious, safe, etc. are out the window for a monthly rental in that price range. You may want to simply call around and see if you can find a furnished month-to-month apartment. Annnd be ready to fit a rental car into your budget, too.

I dont think any affidavit will help - anyone can testify and tell a lie and say that your dad is your dad.

Regardless, however, of the decision you make I doubt your teacher will not accept your letter (really, rejecting writing totally for a simple spacing issue is silly and most likely an empty threat), and if he/she does attempt to reject the work you certainly have a basis to argue the point. The directions indicate to opposite spacing requirements, you had to choose one, you had a 50% chance either way of being wrong.
