My mother lives with me in Chennai. She has one sister and 3 brothers. Together they have this joint family property in Kerala. They are going for a partition now for which they are going to sell that. My mother does not want her share as she is comfortably settled. She wants to give it to her siblings. My eldest uncle has asked her to prepare a power of attorney of the same in his favour so that he can deal with the property on her behalf and send it to him. I went to a lawyer who agreed to prepare one for 10000 rupees!! I think he wants to make some money at my cost as I don't know much about it.. . Please tell me more about it. What should the power of attorney contain? How much should it cost? Is a power of attorney sufficient? Does it have to be registered or only notarising will do?. . Please help me! Any Indian lawyers?.

How do you write a cover letter for a receptionist?

I'm starting a small web based business. Where can I get retail return forms in case a customer wants to return the product? Can I just make a template on my site and have the customer fill that out print it and return it with the product?.

What is happening to people in the world? People are so interested in getting discounts, getting things for the cheapest price possible. I understand saving money is important, but make sure your pennies are not effecting something bigger down stream, like shopping at Wal-Mart putting small businesses out of business and ruining local economies.. . Now it seems every day people are asking, "Where can I get this for free?" "Where can I download this for free?". In the past couple of days I've seen requests for free movies, free video games, free books, people soliciting for free copies of "The Davici Code", and boot-leg copies of the movie. People asking for money, and I-pods.

If you are sending out the same letter to multiple people, you simply have to change the name in a specified field.. . For example, you want to invite about 100 people to a seminar, you could open up a Word document and create a template outlining the invite leaving the name field blank. Then all you would have to do is enter in each in the invitee's name.

I recently purchased a car from a friend who lives in New Jersey. I live in New York. Her husband is incapacitated and is the owner of the car. She is acting on his behalf and has a durable power of attorney which states she has the right to sell the vehicle. I brought the signed title along with a bill of sale and the original power of attorney to the dmv but was told that the power of attorney was not acceptable because it did not have a seal. From what their lawyer claims, New Jersey does not require a seal on such a document for it to be valid. This seems to be true because she has been using it for many other decisions thus far without any problems. The NY DMV informed me that regardless of what is acceptable in NJ they will not accept it in NY. I know she can transfer the title into her name and then sign the car over to me but this will take too long. Is there any way around this. Is a power of attorney from Jersey not valid in New York because they dont require a seal?.
