It's not that difficult at all. All you need to change your name at the social security office is your current social security card, a valid photo id, and a certified copy of your marriage certificate (this is something you have to order from the place you got your marriage, you have to pay for it, it was $4 in my area, it needs the seals on it, it can't just be the regular marriage license or marriage certificate). You also need to fill out a social security name change form. You can find this online (google social security name change, and you'll find it), or you can fill it out at the social security office. They'll direct you to the right form. You give them your id, your social security card, the certified copy of the marriage certificate, and the form. They'll take your old social security card, and give you a form that your name has been updated. Later, they'll send you a new social security card via mail.. . After that, it's really easy. Take the paper the social security office gives you saying that your name has been updated to the dmv, along with your id, as well as the dmv's name change forms (again, google your state's dmv name change form, or just ask for it when you get to the dmv). They'll take care of it all there. They'll get you a new driver's license, state id, etc. As for all other places, just show them your social security card update, and they'll change over all the information. You'll need to do this for banks, credit cards, insurance, work places, schools, as well as any other accounts you have with your name out there. It's really not that hard after the social security card is changed. For me that was the longest. It took like 5 minutes at the window, but it was a pain in the butt long wait in line. Call your social security office for when they are the least busy. The dmv was pretty quick in comparison, and changing everything else was super easy.. . All you'll need in addition to the valid photo id you already have though, is just a certified copy of the marriage certificate. Good luck.

Im writing a letter to a celebrity, not one terribly famous and in the limelight but a celebrity nonetheless. I want to do this as I know this person would appreciate it more than say an email or typed letter. It wasn't easy getting their address either!. . So far I've introduced myself, talked about why I like them, their work, their personality. What I want to do is say something that will make them write back to me, I'm not sure how to go about that. Or what things I should compliment on as they prob get a good bit of fan mail and I want to stand out from the crowd. Any thoughts are welcome..
