• Sara was born and raised in Sanford, North Carolina. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in English and Minor in Art. Sara enjoyed a successful career in public relations prior to entering Campbell University School of Law in 1999. While at Campbell, Sara was a writer and advertising manager for the Campbell Law Observer. She also worked as a library assistant and clerked with Rufus Edmisten. She graduated from Campbell University School of Law in 2002.

  Before coming to Harrington, Gilleland, Winstead, Feindel and Lucas, Sara practiced at firms in Raleigh, Durham and Sanford. Her primary area of focus has been consumer and small business bankruptcy. At Harrington, Gilleland, Winstead, Feindel and Lucas, Sara has expanded her practice to include estate administration which entails helping families deal with the estates of loved ones. Sara has a real passion for helping people deal with legal hurdles during difficult times in their lives.
