Well, part of the answer is found your question. He thinks it to be superior. If the Christians addressed in Hebrews were to "fall back", they, in the author's opinion, would be settling for an inferior revelation. To understand his train of thought though, there are a few things to keep in mind. The author of Hebrews is addressing a complex theological problem which the newly founded church (and I use the term in the sense of the fledgling movement founded on the teachings of the apostles about Jesus) had to deal with: if what we say about Jesus being the Son of God is true, what about the Jews and Judaism? Basically, the author is addressing an identity crisis. How do we reconcile thousands of years' history found in the Tanach with our new found faith? Hence we find passages like:. . In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. (Hebrews 1:1-3). . The author's main argument is that Christ and his death/resurrection had been God's plan all along. The elements of the Jewish liturgy/tabernacle/temple were "shadows of things to come" (we can detect hints of Platonic philosophy regarding true forms here). Every communication, every command and revelation previously received, ought to be interpreted within the Divine archetype, the true scheme and design of things. So we could even say that Hebrews' theology is not necessarily bad revelation vs good revelation. Rather, the "shadows" point towards the "true form" which is Christ. He is the true content of the message and God's communication from the start.. . Hope this helps

Do you write letters to yourself?

We are moving due to an employment transfer for my husband and myself. My husband has a letter from his company, but I have to draft the letter myself for my boss to sign. I don't know how to word the letter, and I was wondering if anyone had a template? Also, I'd like to write a letter on behalf of both my husband and I to our Landlord citing that section 28 of our lease states that in the event of a Tenant(s) job transfer a letter of employment is required 60 days written notice. Any help would be much appreciated!. Ok now I have the letter from us to our landlord, but can anyone help write the letter that my boss should sign? I don't want there to be any questions from the landlord. (he's not exactly the kindest person, and he's very money hungry.).

It is most likely that the timing of the reverse mortage was most propitious for your grandfather. He is in line to receive a stream of payments for his entire life based upon the higher than current property value.. . There is no reason to suspect fraud in this transaction. The "caregiver" receives no direct compensation nor indirect financial incentive. I further suspect that your 'caregiver' may in fact be your grandfather's 'legal guardian' or "conservator" if responsible for the reverse mortgage. I presume from the tone of your letter that you have no direct communication with your grandfather or his attorney. Sounds like your concerns may be in your grandfather's estate value at his prospective time of death. It does not appear you can expect his residence to add to the value of his estate.. . On the otherhand, your grandfather presently appears to have a steady income stream to assist in his monthly expenses thanks to the "reverse mortage".. . If your grandfather is being victimized, abused, shortchanged or being financially bled to death you should contact your local district attorney and open an investigation for elder abuse, undue influence or embezzlement by the "caregiver". You could retain an attorney and file for establishing yourself as your grandfather's legal custodian. If you have good cause, your costs will be reimbursed by the Court.. . If you do not have your grandfather's ear and confidence, back off before you find yourself completely written off for his remaining life and potential inheritance.
