My daughter done it with her son once she got married and it is straight forward through deed poll, her birth certificates will be sent and new birth certificates will have old name and new name on it and it costs around ?15 - We are in Scotland but don't think it makes any difference where you are in UK. If she keeps her original name there will be no problems but if you change her name you have to let the passport office, doctor, school etc know of the legal change. Google name change and you will find details

I seem to babble or over explain things in email so I'm trying to practice keeping it simple and to the point. Is there a certain format I could follow. Also, what is a good way to sign out. Should I just stick with Sincerely. I've seen so many different closings late. I just saw one recently that ended with Thanking you, I am. I thought that was weird. Thanks for your help..

Either party can change their name to their current legal name as follows:. 1. Man can change to his wife's last name. 2. Woman can change to her husband's last name. 3. Both can use the hyphenated version of both their names . 4. Woman can hyphenate using her name and her husband's. 5. Both can keep their names as is.. . Those are the choices.. . If you or your fiance desire to change to another name altogether, you have to go through the regular name changing legal process.
