im writing a letter, its a persuasive letter about how we need to convince a newspaper editor that you do not need a B average to have a license... i need some topic help...please help, due tommorow!!1.

Yup!. . That's a great idea, but unfortunately, I think it's going to be a tough sell in the current economic environment. I know that even the largest pharma companies are conducting mass-scale layoffs. I don't know how receptive any of those companies will be to aid requests that fall outside of their usual "giving" programs.. . If I were writing these letters, I would certainly begin by acknowledging that you are aware that these are very difficult times, and impress upon the reader that you would certainly understand if they were not able to assist you at the present time. The key to this type of appeal is to be very humble in your asking - anything that remotely hints of "gimme" is going to trigger a very fast rejection.. . You'll also need to find a way to sell yourself as more deserving than every other prospective college student. Remember, times aren't just tough for businesses, of course, a lot of us are out here struggling, and it's a reasonable question for the potential donor to ask "Why should I give YOU money, when there are millions of other people who need it, too?". . Applying for a donor is kind of like applying for a job. If your letter reads like a generic form letter that you've obviously sent to 100 other companies, every one of those companies will 'pass' and leave it to the other 99 to help you out. When you do apply for a job, you need to take the time to familiarize yourself with the company - what do they do - what are their key products - things like that. You'll help yourself immensely if you demonstrate that you've taken the time to look up more than just their local address.. . It may also be helpful to show that you've noticed other acts of corporate giving that they have provided in your community. Saying something like "I am writing to you because I have seen many examples of your benevolence in our community - like the computers that you donated to the local homeless shelter". Again, that goes a long way to demonstrate that you're not just hitting up every company in town for a couple of bucks.. . Finally, you'll need to talk about why that particular profession appeals to you, and what you hope to do with that education. There's nothing wrong with saying that it would be an honor to one day have the opportunity to come and work for this very company that you are soliciting.. . I hope that helped give you some ideas.

A friend of mine bf tried to commit suicide last Saturday night by taking pills. While in the hospital the next day and still confused as to where he was, his mother had him sign a power of attorney form. She said sign this and he did, even when 5 minutes prior to that he thought he was on a cruise ship. I think that that is not a legally binding agreement here in Michigan because he was not mentally competent. I am worried that if the mother starts more crap, that she will bar my friend from seeing her bf. Both my friend and her bf are in their late 30s but both of their mothers still try to run their lives, go figure. . Is there any way that this can be voided or is it not enforceable since he was mentally incompetent?.

Try a fee based advisor. Keep in mind that they will charge you what most any other professional might (several hundred bucks).. . There are lots of good self help books out there that you might want to read. Tons of websites also.. . If you want specific, personal advice from a professional, it'll cost you (obviously).. . My $.02 opinion: . Pay off high interest debt. Develop a realistic budget. Roth IRA, 401k (invest these dollars in good stock mutual funds). life insurance, disability, health & an umbrella policy. estate docs (include a trust provision in your will if you've got kids). 529 accounts for college savings (if applicable)

a rubber band is securing each of my heart outlines.. . Using other colors of dye mixed up in your squirt bottles, squirt dyes in the areas that are not protected by the rubber band(s). The area inside the innermost rubber band will be the inside of your heart shape. The subsequent areas in between rubber bands will form outlines that radiate out from around the central heart. All the areas of the shirt outside the outermost rubber band will be the background of the shirt. So, keep that in mind and work according to your planned color scheme.. . Be very careful when you move the shirt at this point, because it will be saturated with dyes. You don?t want the colors to contaminate each other. From this point on you will want to refer to the manufacturer?s instructions in order to know how long to let the dyes penetrate, and how to properly care for it.. . If you are using fiber reactive dyes, you will want to carefully place the shirt inside a plastic bag and set it aside out of the way for approx. 24 hours. Then you can unwrap it, remove the rubber bands and the thread, rinse it and wash it with synthropol. Experienced dyers often rinse 3 times in order to make sure the excess dye is fully removed. You can then dry it.. . After the shirt is dry, you can embellish it further if you wish. I thought the inside of my heart looked a little bare, so I embellished it by block printing a heart and spiral design with fabric paints. Here is how my finished shirt looks:. .
