Its paperwork you file in court, go in front of a judge and tell him why and he grants it. Its very expensive and a waist of good money. Middle names turn into initials most of our life. Noone ever speaks our middle name, our middle name is on a few documents in life, but mostly an intial. Spend money, time and thoughts on more important things in life. The judge and all in the court room will get a good chuckle out of this, its silly. You may call yourself anything you want.. If you do change your name, you simply provide documentaion to the SSA and they will issue a new SS card, same with the DMV. . Be consistant on all employment, or later in life, when u go to get ss beneifits, it will be a hassell, and can deny or delay you from getting benefits. We dont just get benefits when we age. We can become disabled at any time.

Ok so I feel I'd like to change my first name to my middle name. My reasons being, I feel I have changed a bit and would like a different name to resemble that. I don't like the sound of my first name, and if I am introducing myself to people, it does not seem like my name.. . My middle name, I like and would love to be known as this. I feel excited just thinking about it, like it's a new beginning and so much can happen.. . Have any of you known someone who has changed their name? how do people tend to respond to a name change? I am not sure of how people will react when I say I have changed my name.. . Also the legal aspect, in the UK, how do I go about changing my name? I'd like a new name on bank card, passport and signature.. . Also do you think this is a silly decision as I have only recently thought of it bu am very excited?. . Other people's opinions greatly welcomed,. . thanks :).

    how to write living wills?

This is very definitely a dying art. I used to write handwritten letters quite often, as my family are somewhat scattered about the country (and globe), as are many of my friends. The Internet came along and changed all that, doubtless permanently.. . For what it's worth, when I send an email or e-card (in place of a personal letter or paper card) I still put in the same time and effort and my writing style is unchanged. But no, it's just not the same and I'd be the last person to argue otherwise.. . Handwritten letters and cards do have special meaning for me, and that's why on those rare occasions when I do write and post them, it is for someone I love a great deal. I'd not do it otherwise.. . That said, I no longer save greeting cards as I once did (I'm still sentimental but I'm not a pack-rat), though I do still save handwritten letters if they hold special meaning for me (love letters, for example).. . In closing, I wonder if handwriting itself now suffers universally (I know mine does) because of our reliance on keyboards to write anything at all. I'm no Luddite but I always lament the loss of traditions and practices once considered essential to our species. I'm afraid personal, handwritten letters are going the way of the dodo. I only wish it were not so.

Under windows if you have documents showing in blue that means that the documents are compressed to save disk space.. . every time you do a disk cleanup the computer will ask you if you want to compress old items, if you say yes, those old items will show in blue.. . i recommend not to compress your documents, because if you computer crash (and they all do) and you need to move those files to a new machine the new machine won't recognize them because they are only recognized by the machine that compress them.. . You can copy them to a cd and move them around but if your computer dies, the files necessary to open that folder will be gone.

In the civil war what exactly did the confederates stand for, and what did the union stand for?. I know confederates were south, and fighting for slavery.. I know union was north, and fighting against slavery.. . But that's all I know.. What exactly did each group stand for? What were their views exactly?. . I tried searching this on my own, but all it talks about are what the flags mean today.. . Any help would be great. Thanks..
