I get that no one should die of something curable or treatable, but what if it's a lost cause? I don't mean to be cold, but I shouldn't be paying to treat someones terminal illness. The government could limit coverage, but then it could be argued that they are choosing who lives and dies, and I don't like that either.. . What about people like me that don't go to the doctor more than once, maybe twice per year compared to someone who goes more, maybe even monthly.. . What about people that refuse to have a job, I mean if they aren't willing to pay into the system, then I don't need to pay for them, even if it's just penicillin. If the restrictions were made too tight, then people that are just between jobs could get cut out, and that isn't good either.. . Again, I don't mean to be too cold. Old people need to see doctors and get treated more and more the older that they get. Where would the line be drawn, modern medicine could keep someone alive for a long time, but the more treatment that they receive, the more treatment that they will need to receive. I'm not talking just retired, I mean like terribly old , and unable to maintain them self.. . Sorry about the long question, no need for long explanations, unless you want to..

Texas has Community Property in a marriage. From the moment a man & woman are pronounced Man & Wife .. everything is shared as Community Property - with the exception of inheritance. Inheritance is not Community Property.. . The husband invested Community Property with his mistress. So .. 1/2 of what he invested belongs to his wife. He can have a Will - and leave his part to whoever he wishes .. but the wife also has her part.. . The wife should go to a really-really sharp attorney who could handle this mistress ,, and the husband ... and "fix-their-goose" for her.. . The wife should also hire an investigator to see what else her husband has invested. The husband may be giving the mistress a lot of which belongs to the wife. She needs to protect herself .. and her future .. in a hurry. She should use good sense - and tie everything up so tight that it would give that husband of her's the blues .. he deserves it. 22 years is a long time ... and he has given the mistress 22 years of his wife's time, money, emotions .. and shared sexual things.

That may be a tall order since you are not an engineer, you may not know proper construction means and methods so your estimate is going to be fairly inaccurate. This may not matter to you if it is just for an initial budget in the early stages of pre-construction and design, however if you are getting ready to submit a bid, you are going to want a high level of accuracy. Now on to the actual estimating. If you have the actual set of plans, you may want to thumb through each page, so that when you perform your quantity takeoffs, you will know where to look (This is especially important when a page will call out a detail or section to look at). Also, you are going to want to have an Architect's scale, calculator, scratch paper and colored pencils or multi-colored highlighters. After you know your plans, you are going to want to do the estimate in order of the 16 CSI Divisions. Those divisions are as follows: . * Division 01 ? General Requirements. * Division 02 ? Existing Conditions. * Division 03 ? Concrete. * Division 04 ? Masonry. * Division 05 ? Metals. * Division 06 ? Wood and Plastics. * Division 07 ? Thermal and Moisture Protection. * Division 08 ? Doors and Windows. * Division 09 ? Finishes. * Division 10 ? Specialties. * Division 11 ? Equipment. * Division 12 ? Furnishings. * Division 13 ? Special Construction. * Division 14 ? Conveying Systems. * Division 15 ? Mechanical. * Division 16 ? Electrical. . It is important to remember that each division has a whole lot of subdivisions and each division is going to have different ways to calculate the quantity takeoffs and have different units of measure, so you may want to pick up a book on introductory estimating. Once you have you all of your quantity takeoffs, be sure to put all of your info into an excel spreadsheet for each line item that you have. Now that you are ready to price the work, pick up RSMeans Building Construction Cost Data and go through each CSI Division. The Means book will give you the price for the material, different labor crews, and how much to charge for overhead and profit. Means also has a section on how much it is to build per square foot in different major metropolitan areas. I hope this helps!
