Typically when writing a formal letter, you are writing with a purpose. You grammar and vocabulary should reflect this purpose
Grow a brain, yes in theory, no in practise. This is still in the realm of science fiction, and likely to stay that way for quite some time.. . However since the only known 'process' of training (parenting) a human brain to do anything particularly useful takes at least 6 years (a six year old child can follow simple instructions) and it's not until the early teenage years that most humans develop the mental skills to outperform a computer specifically programmed for the task required.. . The greatest obstacle is that we still don't have enough understanding of how & why the human brain, develops (construction), works, and develops (expands capabilities) to develop a biological computer.. . On the ethical side of things, even working from adult-derived stem cells, growing a human brain to use it as a PC is unsettling for most people, and probably would be viewed as a form of human vivisection by many people.. . Edit: While it may be possible, I think the ethical issues will discourage research in using a human brain in this way, on the other hand, the 'Brainship' stories of Anne McCaffrey are one possible 'template' for research in that area.
