  • Barbara Ulrichsen spent her early years in Keyport, New Jersey. Her mother and father had both emigrated from Denmark. Her father was a well known designer and builder of wooden boats. Her parents separated when she was twelve and she spent her teenage years living and working on various horse farms in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Barbara graduated cum laude from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) in 1971 and immediately entered Rutgers College of Law-Camden. While in law school, she worked both as a law clerk for the Philadelphia firm of Wolfe Block and as a financial manager of a thoroughbred racing stable owned by Robert P. Levy, a prominent Philadelphia businessman. Barbara focused on tax law to some extent during law school and brings a strong working knowledge of the tax code to her current work on matrimonial matters. She graduated from Rutgers with Honors in 1974.

Her first legal job was as a staff attorney for Community Legal services in Philadelphia. In 1976, Barbara Ulrichsen began working as a family law associate for the Princeton firm of Mason, Griffin & Pierson. She became a partner at that firm in 1981 and remained there until 1986 when she began a small solo family law practice in Skillman, N.J. Her private practice evolved into Ulrichsen, Amarel & Eory, at one time one of the predominant family law firms in Central New Jersey. This firm was involved in many critical appellate family law cases, including the representation of the prevailing party in Crews v. Crews, a leading New Jersey Supreme Court case on alimony modification.

The partners of Ulrichsen, Amarel & Eory moved on to other associations in 2000, with Barbara joining Fox Rothschild as a partner specializing in family law. While at Fox Rothschild she worked with and mentored her current young partners, Wendy Rosen and Derek Freed. Barbara, Wendy and Derek left Fox Rothschild in June 2006 to form Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed, which Barbara sees as a "special place" filled with youthful energy.

Barbara is admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars and the United States Tax Court. She is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a matrimonial attorney. She serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court Family Practice Committee and was formerly a member of the New Jersey Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee. Barbara was instrumental in the creation and implementation of Child Support Guidelines in New Jersey. She has lectured at many continuing education seminars and has published two articles relating to taxation and matrimonial law. Barbara was selected for inclusion in the New Jersey "Super Lawyers” list published by the New Jersey Super Lawyers Magazine (2005-2010 editions). She has also been selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America" in the specialty of family law. During her greater than 30 years of experience, she has handled many high profile family law matters. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex settlements and has successfully tried numerous financial and custody related matters to conclusion.

Barbara strongly believes that family law matters should be amicably resolved, if at all possible. This philosophy is founded on her personal observations of the havoc (and financial ruin) which hotly contested litigation can create. She believes that her clients should be well informed about the divorce process and the options available to them. She is of the opinion that a client’s best interests are served by providing the client with an honest assessment of his or her case and she endeavors to do this in all matters.

Barbara’s goal in establishing Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed was to establish a client-centered practice which dedicates itself to a assisting its clients in obtaining a fair and equitable result in family law matters. She believes that this result can best be obtained through providing well informed and exceptionally competent legal services.

On a personal note, Barbara Ulrichsen lives on a horse farm in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She has been married to Joseph Rochford, a psychiatrist, since 1974. They have two young adult sons. Barbara’s outside interests include riding competitive show jumpers, skiing, and golf.

Statistics help please about standard deviations.?

What is the typical time frame it takes an employer to call you back after an interview?

The best choice, is a land trust. The contact information is Bank of Whereever Trust #12345678 and the address is the bank's trust department. They are not allowed to release the name of the actual customer without permission or a court order. I've done this with no problem. It also makes it easier to transfer the property. When I die, there's no probate

So my dad sort of screwed up on my birth certificate when I was born and misspelled my name as 'Jeffery' instead of 'Jeffrey.' How hard would it be to change these two letters of my birth certificate and social security # and such legally? Or would it be OK to just keep writing my name as Jeffrey on personal stuff like tax forms and the like that require my social security #?. . I've been using Jeffrey for mostly all personal stuff since I found out that my dad messed up on the spelling (since elementary school) and simply Jeff on less sensitive stuff.. . Btw, I have no idea if I'm posting this in the right category, but I'll give it a go anyway.. Side Note: The only things that I know of that has my misspelled name is my birth certificate and my insurance card..
