I am a Parsippany, New Jersey, family law attorney. At my law firm, you will receive the benefit of my extensive experience representing clients in a range of family law matters throughout New Jersey. It is essential to work with a lawyer who has experience in the system you are facing, an attorney who will work for you. I have handled neglect and abuse trials, termination of parental rights hearings, DCPP appeals and range of other family law matters. When needed, I work with a team of psychologists and other experts to help my clients' cases.

Many law firms focus only on the children and their interests. While I know that the children are a central consideration for a family law firm, I also focus on the parents and their well-being. When you work with my law firm, I will take the time to get to know you, understand your legal interests and provide sound legal counsel for you throughout the process.

    Your Initial Consultation

Many people feel some anxiety when visiting an attorney for the first time.

This article will help you by giving you an idea of what to expect. Your initial consultation will be free. (See details below). At that time I will discuss your legal problem with you. Of course, you should bring any information with you that will be helpful to me in understanding your legal problem. I may ask you to fill out an information sheet, which will include the basic information about your case.

    Fee Policy

As every legal matter is different, your legal fee will depend on the nature and complexity of your case. Although I cannot always tell you what your fee will be, I have set forth a fee policy for your convenience, so you will know what type of fee agreement I will set for your type of case.

    Fee Agreements And Initial Payments

Initial consultations are FREE for up to one hour. I will gladly talk to you about your case and discuss the kind of fee arrangement I might offer. Please note that if the consultation should take longer, and if you do not sign a fee agreement, you may be billed a nominal fee for the remaining hours of the consultation. After I discuss your legal problem with you, and if I agree to represent you, I will offer you a fee arrangement. If I take your case you MUST sign a WRITTEN FEE AGREEMENT before I begin work for you. In your FEE AGREEMENT, I will set forth an INITIAL PAYMENT, which must be PAID IN FULL before I begin work on your case (except for contingent fee cases). I will accept no direct partial payments on initial fee agreements. Those who wish to pay in installments must charge the entire initial payment on a credit card.

    Payment Options

It is my policy to provide my clients with as many payment options as is practical. In return, I ask all clients to conform to the payment policies set forth here. For those who wish to pay cash, several banks with ATMs are available near the law office. I will accept personal checks on all matters; however, I will not commence services until the check has cleared. I can arrange payment plans for bankruptcy matters, and commence services, but I cannot file bankruptcy until my entire fee is paid. I cannot accept credit cards as payment for bankruptcy matters. For the convenience of my clients, I gladly accept all major credit and debit cards, including MasterCard?, VISA?, the American Express? Card and the Discover? Card. While I personally will NOT accept partial payments on credit card transactions, I strongly recommend credit cards as a form of payment for those who wish to pay in installments if your credit card agreement permits you to do so. I cannot accept your own credit card as payment for my fee in bankruptcy cases.

The power of attorney should be made where it is going to be used (in India) so it will meet the local legal requirements. It will have to be signed by your brother and sister who live in the US. Usually it will have to be signed by each of them before a Notary Public. You will have the cost of the document being drawn up in India, the cost of the Notary Public in the US, and the cost of the recordation in India and of course, the mailing of the document back and forth.

i have fibromyalgia. my husband handles much my medical care. will getting a medical poa make things easier? will he be able to make billing inquiries to my health insurance, gain access to records, speak on the phone on my behalf, and just handle more "day to day" things without me constantly having to give consent? or will the poa not make a difference for the smaller things? i understand the traditional, broader uses (life support decisions, etc.) just want to know if this would be beneficial to our situation. thanks..

Do men get good health care?? Or do they get treated poorly?

Both parents have lost use of their hands. Cannot sign documents. Dad wants to make me power of attorney (for financial matters). Mom is undecided. Everything they own, checking, savings, etc. is in both of their names. If my Dad completes a power of attorney form, with all the legal signatures, (except for his), (can this be done with his verbal approval), (or possibly a X signature) as long as it is witnessed, is this considered a legal document for me to take care of their financial affairs..

I have recently learned about how US birth certificates, social security cards and the entire legal system are tied into "maritime admiralty law". This is why the person's name is printed in all capitals letters on birth certificates and SS cards. The all caps represents you as an "artificial person" or a corporate entity - NOT as a natural person born with unalienable rights.. . I've learned in a documentary how we are not required to participate in the legal system (court, etc), if we choose to not represent the artificial person that is represented on the documents.. . My question is this: If a person legally changes their full name, what happens if they also choose to NOT have a new birth certificate and SS card created?. . Thanks!.

You have to give a minimum of 2 month's notice. 3 months satisifies this requirement and has the added benefit of giving your tenants extra time to find somewhere else.. . There is a specific form the notice should be in. You should have received a template from whoever supplied you with the contract in the first place.
