• After having practiced law at the national law firms of Shearman & Sterling in New York and Bingham McCutchen LLP (f/k/a Bingham Dana LLP) in Boston, both of which have large international and commercial law practices, Attorney Finneran founded the law firm of Finneran & Nicholson, P.C. in 1984. Attorney Finneran received her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School where she served as an Editor of the Law Review. Attorney Finneran is a member of each of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Newburyport Bar Association. As a law professor, she has taught Contracts, Business Organizations, Corporate Governance and Commercial Law at an area law school, as well as, at the University of Bucharest in Romania (teaching business and government leaders to structure international transactions), and in London (in comparative U.S. and European business law). Attorney Finneran is a past chair of, and member of, the Massachusetts Bar Association's Business Council and the Massachusetts Bar Association's Securities Practice Group.
