  • David J. Dean is a senior trial attorney on all matters in the Firm's practice. Mr. Dean was the Chief Trial Counsel for the plaintiffs in the Agent Orange Class Action, representing more than two million Vietnam Veterans in their claims against seven chemical companies. His work was described in published Federal Court decisions as "extraordinary" and of "exceptional quality." David's exceptional trial skills were evident in the civil trial of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, where, as the lead trial attorney, he obtained an unprecedented verdict against the Port Authority for its failure to take steps to prevent the terrorist attack. In a suit against the City of New York, Mr. Dean obtained a $92 million verdict. David won a $25 million verdict for a laborer injured at a worksite, and a $24.5 million verdict for a man who tripped on the stairs of an apartment building causing him to become a paraplegic. He obtained a verdict against the Transit Authority for $28.5 million for a woman whose leg was severely injured when she was struck by a train. He recently won a $10.5 million verdict in a medical malpractice case. Such results are only a small sample of his work, which has earned him a respected and feared trial reputation. David has been named in Super Lawyers magazine as one of New York’s top lawyers, and?has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America. A national legal publication recently named David as “one of America’s great trial lawyers.” David has also received the highest rating (AV?) from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.* A 1961 graduate of Georgetown Law Center, David joined the firm in 1997 and has been a Member since 1999. He has often lectured at various law schools and bar associations on all aspects of trial practice.

  • A Tradition of Service and Excellence

Sullivan Papain Block McGrath & Cannavo P.C. was founded more than 80 years ago and is one of New York's largest personal injury law firms. We have long been recognized as one of New York's premiere personal injury law firms due to our strong record of results, deep commitment clients and strong reputation in the legal community. Our size, scope of organization and wealth of resources place us in a very unique position to provide both immediate and expert service in all areas of personal injury law.

SPBMC is departmentalized within specialized areas of plaintiff's personal injury litigation such as motor vehicle, medical malpractice, construction site, fire, municipal, premises, toxic tort and product liability cases. Within each department, litigation teams have been created and staffed to address issues that involve a specific area of the law.

Our depth of knowledge and experience enables us to provide highly skilled representation to each or our valued clients. Over the last decade alone, we have recovered more than $2 billion on behalf of accident victims and their families.

    Your Personal Advocates

We are committed to knowing each client individually, and to addressing their particular concerns promptly and professionally. We know that our clients, and oftentimes the lawyers who have referred them, have trusted us to do everything possible to achieve the best results for them. Our reputation has been built on that trust.

    No Case Too Complex

In addition to handling thousands of individual claims, SPBMC is either currently serving or has successfully served as Lead Plaintiff's Counsel in cases involving: 9/11 rescue and recovery workers litigation, Kaltech chemical explosion, 1993 World Trade Center bombing, HIV-infected hemophiliacs, Washington Square park crash, Staten Island tank explosion, MGM Grand hotel fire, and the Anne Street explosion. We also have represented victims of asbestos and other environmental hazards, breast implants, unsafe pharmaceutical drugs, aviation accidents, maritime accidents and lead poisoning.

SPBMC is one of only six firms chosen on a national level to represent the State of New York in its litigation against the major tobacco companies. Our efforts helped the State obtain an historic $25 billion recovery and unprecedented public health benefits which are expected to save thousands of lives.

The Firm also had the honor of representing 363 firefighters and families of deceased firefighters in the original September 11th Victim Compensation Fund securing more than $265 million for them, and not charging any legal fee earning the firm the National Law Journal's 2004 Pro bono Award.

Following the closure of the VCF, the Firm represented more than 600 firefighters sickened by exposures at the World Trade Center disaster site. Appointed co-liaison counsel, the firm assumed a leading role in The World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation, as the case became known, a long, difficult fight to secure compensation for all of these brave individuals.

In June 2010, as the trial date approached, serving as co-liaison counsel for the injured workers, SPBMC helped secure a $600 Million-plus settlement with the attorneys for the defendants.

Our success in these areas shows that no litigation is too large or complex for us to handle. Yet, we never lose sight of the fact that each client deserves the individual care and attention that is a hallmark of our practice.

English Homework help? writing a letter?

Is this a good way to start out as a photographer?

In the click event method, you should have access to 2 arguments, 'sender' and 'e'. The argument 'e' has several options available, but the one you want to pay close attention to is 'sender'.. . 'sender' is the button that was clicked. This is the same for any events that are triggered in your form. If a combobox triggers a change event, sender is the combobox that changed. On the form's load event, 'sender' is the form. On a button click, even if the button is generated dynamically, 'sender' is the button that performs the click.. . If you need access to that button, simply add this code to the start of your click event:. . Button clickedButton = (Button)sender
