• I have been practicing law since 1978, primarily in the fields of personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability. I have expanded my practice as an appellate specialist practicing primarily in the Appellate Divisions and Court of Appeals for members of the personal injury bar in New York. I recently had an opinion published in the New York Law Journal, O'Sullivan v. Presbyterian Hospital, concerning the standard of care for psychiatric malpractice cases. I have edited several articles in the area of psychiatric malpractice for the American Association for Justice.

  I graduated New York Law School in 1977 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1978. My first job after law school was with the New York City Law Department in the Tort Division, Brooklyn. I handled all manner of cases concerning the City of New York, and was given the specific task of defending the City in Civil Rights and police brutality cases in Federal District Court, Eastern District of New York. I was also co-chief of the Small Claims Division in Brooklyn where the City appeared as a result of various complaints concerning property damage and personal injury.

  When I left the Law Department, I was an associate with a medium size midtown firm, heading up the personal injury department and handling various other litigation matters including matrimonial, criminal, administrative, commercial and appeals. After six years with the firm, I left to start my own firm, dealing primarily with plaintiffs' personal injury cases, including appeals for members of the personal injury bar. I have appeared for argument in the various Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. I subscribe to all major on-line legal research services and obtain daily updates of recent tort law developments both in New York and on a national basis.

She cannot apply for a new number. only a new card. So get all of that that you have that proves who she is.. . I'm assuming that you know that the number you receive when you apply to get one is your number foreveeeaaaahhhhhhhh. You never in your life have two social security numbers.. . If you have a new ID with her new name, and a birth certificate, and she knows her number, there is no problem.

i changed my name in tamilnadu gazette in 19 january 2009. in my area in tashildar office i struggled to get ration card with my new name. they told me "we can't change your name in to another name. they told next election next party will come. then they will asked why are you accept his conversion? till now(16 march 2011) 4 tashildars are coming and get transfer. but my application form in the table for signature.. now i want to change my name in passport. the passport officers asked the rationcard with name change. how can i give this? what a worst country this is? i am interested and joined the another religion. but they dont accept this. why? please tell me to get passport with out ration card. i think i will never get ration card in my area..
