Writing a letter probably won't help. How about visiting him, and asking him if you could stay over for a weekend with him because you miss him? As the weekend progresses, find a good opportunity to have a nice long meal with him talking about the past and sharing with him how guilty you were because you had to leave him in child care. Although you had valid reasons, you would've wanted to spend more time taking care of him and nurturing him. If he wants to talk about his hurt, let him speak about it but let him know that you feel bad about it and you love him very much.. . The best reconciliation in the world is a face to face one. Letters have a knack of being misinterpreted. And spending time shows him that you sincerely want to be close to him again.. . I didn't exactly answer your question but I hope my suggestion helps.

i have a general POA for my husband who is deployed. i am trying to sign an application for free complimentary $2,000 ADD coverage through our credit union. the CU is saying that they can't accept a POA. i have the legal aid office checking on this, but i won't get anywhere until at the earliest, monday.. any thoughts on the legality of this?. thank you..

Estate tax is a federal tax imposed on a decedent's estate to the extent it exceeds the estate-tax exemption in the year of death. The number of beneficiaries is irrelevant. Using your example: if your parents' estate were valued at $2 million when the survivor of them passes, and the then current estate-tax exemption were $1 million, WITHOUT proper planning, the estate tax would be $345,800, based on a $1 million taxable estate. WITH proper planning, however, the estate tax would be $0, as both husband and wife would take advantage of their own estate tax exemption, saving the estate, and ultimately the heirs, over 345 grand!. . Where husband and wife have "simple" wills, that is, all to the survivor at the first death, and then to the kids, the estate-tax exemption of the deceased spouse (first spouse to die) is wasted. Using your scenario, the surviving spouse with assets of $2 million will get only one estate-tax exemption at his or her death. Of course, if the couple were worth less than the estate-tax exemption, all of this would be moot.. . That said, it is IMPERATIVE your parents work with an attorney, competent in estate planning, to make sure their documents (wills, trusts, etc) provide for the estate-tax exemption for BOTH of them. Given your reference to working with a professional, they may have this strategy in place. While HOW it's done is beyond the scope of this Q&A format, for informational purposes - or if you want to Google it for more info - it's called a Credit-Sheltered or Bypass Trust.. . Estate tax was repealed for 2010, and, unless Congress acts, reverts to $1 million in 2011.

It would be awesome if I could have your email or something. I have quite a few questions. Please and Thank You!. Oh yeah I have an idea of what I need to do. I just need some advice and I have some what would you do kind of questions..

Hey guys!. . A year ago, my mom had given POA to my boyfriend so I could move to North Carolina. On the POA it clearly states that he can enroll me in school. However, the POA wasn't court appointed. It was notarized. That's it! I just want to go to public school. I have the forms filled out but now I'm scared that I won't be able to go.. . I already moved to NC and I just want to go back to school. :(. . Is it possible that I can explain my situation and they'd help me out? I turn 18 in a few months anyways....

I am going to ask my tenant to move out and I need a professional letter or template or contract. The lease is up next month and I'll be moving into this house. I want the letter to show both landlord/tenant signature. thank you in advance..
