To ensure you cause as little stress to your finger joints, wrists, elbows and shoulders as possible, follow some simple ergonomic principles.. . 1) Keep your hands and wrists in a neutral position. Your elbows should be at a 90 degree or greater angle when typing or texting. Your wrists will feel better, so will your eyes, and you'll be less likely to develop headaches. If your arms are bent while you type and text, make sure to straighten them out during your breaks. Gently stretch the joints in the opposite direction of use.
