Okay so my mom went the other day to get a new social security card because she got divorced and was dropping her second last name (she had kept her maiden name). . They were able to give her a new card, but with one odd glitch. Her first name is two names, hyphenated. (like example "Kelly-Anne") and her card did not have that hyphen. When she asked about it, the guy said, "Oh the computer doesn't take hyphens anymore. You'll be fine, the card will show both names are your first name." . But when my mom went to get her car registered in the state, they said that it might be a problem because the name on the card (no hyphen) and her drivers license (with hyphen) don't match. My mom is breaking down, freaking out because she doesn't have a job yet and here if your car is not registered in the state you get fined $580 and we don't have that kind of money right now.

I'm a college senior majoring in interior design. I'm also interested in real estate. I was planning my classes for next semester and there is an elective I can take that is a real estate class. As of Dec. 2009, I will have my bachelor's degree. What else would I need to do in order to become a licensed real estate agent? Do I need to take more, specialized classes? Or would that one elective plus my degree and area of study be sufficient education?.

I have AUD deposited in Australia collecting interest at around 7%. I have just moved to the US and plan on settling here with my fiance. I want to be able to move that money from Australia to the US at a time when I will get a good exchange rate. But I also want this to coincide with a time when I can take advantage of a) dropping house prices, and b) low interest rates in the US. My big question is: WHEN do you think these conditions will be met? What kind of time frame? I know its hard time to make such predictions, but anybody's thoughts on this would be appreciated. I think if I make good decisions I may be able to benefit from these uncertain times.. Thanks.
