Web Forms?

you can't cast an variable to an incompatible type in Java, so data structures can't get corrupted in that way

If you're serious about communicating with them, an email is the last thing I'd recommend. I'd do my level best to set up a meeting with each of them. In fact, you could hold several lunches, invite them and introduce your product. You could also send nice letter with a brochure and maybe a free sample of the product.

i have 300 letters in a folder. they r all ms word 2003 files. is there a way to import them to mail merge?

There are several books on the subject of project management. Most of them share the same basic rules for how to go about developing a project and what steps are needed to get it off the ground. Here are a few of the basics that I know right off the top of my head.... . 1) Identify the problem domain. What kind of needs or problems is the project designed to address/resolve? This is where you would write out a "scope document" or a document which shows others the limitations of the project and how much of the problem your project is going to address. Look on Google for the term "scope document". . 2) What kind of time-line do you have to work with? Outlining your time-line will help dictate what kind of resources you will need. The resources you get will also have an impact on your time-line.. . 3) Related to point 2, what resources do you need? Do you need programmers? Are you the project manager? What kind of equipment do you need or what amount of money/time do you need. Don't forget that time is a resource too as much as money and staff.. . 4) Come up with a project chart like a Gantt chart which outlines the project steps as well as which steps depend on another. For instance, you may need to design your database tables before you can build the HTML pages that use those tables.. . 5) Do you need any approvals? By this step you should have your scope document, a price list of your resources, a time-line for the project and rough estimates of what the project will have and do. Then all you have to do is present the info to your supervisor and they will sign off on the start of your project.. . 6) Build the project according to your design. When you finish a major section of the project (like construct your database) this is what is called a "milestone". Here you again take the work to your supervisor who then looks over your project work and your time-line and will sign off if they approve. Then you continue.. . 7) As you finish the project, one last sign off will be needed saying that the client/supervisor accepts the project in an "as is" state.. . 8) Last but not least, do what is known as a post mordem or in classic terms, review what went right and what went wrong during the project. By analyzing the project afterwards, you can key in on the mistakes made and what worked so that you can repeat what was good and avoid what was bad in your next project.. . There might be a few more small steps in there, but that is the meat and potatoes of the project management life cycle. I recommend you also go to the book store and look up "project management". You will find tons that can help explain the steps even further.. . Hope this helps!
