my husband is deployed in iraq, he is a marine. his mother is power of attorney (messed up i know)....if he wants to change his power of attorney does he have to get a lawyer? this is what he told me. need to know details. he has been deployed for almost 8 months and hasn't sent me any living expenses and lets his mom run over me and disrespect me. i got tired of it and nicely told him things need to change. well he then tells me that he is going to make me power of attorney, so all the nonsense will change and that he is mailing me a paper for power of attorney (full power of attorney) well the next day he says he cannot because he needs a lawyer. is this true? thanks for any answers. if he doesnt have a lawyer does he need one? or can he revoke the power of attorney without a lawyer?.

I have a home run business, but the thing is am gonna be carrying out business operations overseas, (though paying tax here in Canada) my first business trip is coming up in a couple of weeks, how many things can i write off as business expenses?. Can i write off my flight ticket and all transportation cost incurred doing business?. And how does it work, do i show the government my receipts or do i fill out a form to get reimbursed or is it during tax returns i file for one showing them the receipts?..

Anyways, so write a letter. You can probably find templates on the internet. Tell them in person too and don't just hand them a letter because then they can suck up to you for future references. btw you dont usually have to say why you are quitting so don't write that in your letter but have something prepared in case they ask you. I know akira added that in her letter but I think it is best not to say that. Also, don't listen to Alan and say..."I have been offered an excellent opportunity at another firm that I could not pass up.". That is a very bad idea! You want to leave on good terms.. . Good luck!
