• Joe D. Floyd, Sr. was born in Thomasville, NC on February 24, 1930.? He is an Alumnus of Guilford College (1953) and earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1964.? Before enrolling in Law School Mr. Floyd was a High School Coach and Teacher and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict (1954-1956).? He is a former United States Probation and Parole Officer and a former Law Clerk to Federal Judge Johnson J. Hayes.

  Mr. Floyd, Sr. was licensed and admitted to practice law in the North Carolina State Courts in 1965.
