  • Jacob M. Weisberg has been practicing employment discrimination law, civil rights litigation and?immigration law in the Fresno area since 1971. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA in 1967 and his J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley in 1970.

He has practiced complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts since 1970. This includes litigation in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals regarding immigration matters, as well as civil rights litigation, in the Eastern District of California and the Ninth Circuit. He also has been involved in complex civil litigation in the employment area representing employees in employment discrimination. He has successfully represented clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on appeals of orders by the Immigration Court of deportation or exclusion from the United States.

The point of this practice is to do what is right for the client. To research the issues, to try and find the best possible resolution for the client and his family or for the business, and the individual they are attempting to bring to the United States to perform work with the company. This requires personal attention in a local area so that the company or the person involved can come and see the attorney whenever necessary to get the work done.

  • Jacob M. Weisberg has been providing immigration law services to both businesses and families for over 40 years in Fresno, California, and serving the entire San Joaquin Valley community. His office focuses on family based immigration, including Immigrant Visa petitions (I-130) and Adjustment of Status and on business related visas and Naturalization applications, including H1B, PERM Labor certifications, L1, EB1 and EB5 for both corporations and individuals. His office also represents clients in deportation and exclusion proceedings before the Immigration Court, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals, State and Federal Court criminal hearings which impact immigration status, setting aside criminal convictions in state court, and Petitions for Review of Exclusion or Deportation in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

What has been important in this practice has been to provide a local attorney who provides high quality, responsive and personal work to all clients in these important areas.

Our approach is to provide the services required to give the client the proper immigration advice in order to obtain an immigration status appropriate to that person. Oftentimes this requires practical and innovative solutions, but the office always provides legal advice based upon the documentation and evidence presented so that a solution which will best serve the clients interests is achieved.

If you need help with any immigration issue, please contact this office for an appointment in person to fully explore and address any question that you may have.

You don't have to use your last boss as a reference. Isn't there someone else at your company who can address your abilities? If you are really that strapped for professional references, how about someone from a volunteer organization where you are involved, a religious leader from your house of worship who, although will give more of a personal reference, will not be submitting a bff letter.

? If I've changed my name before joining the forces, will they identify me by my birth, or new name ? [Note that it's a full name change. So the last name is effected].

What happens when a name change citation expires?
