It's always puzzled me. Birth certificates are records of history, not present identification. Name should never be changed on a birth certificate. Sex should require some proof - and since most people getting these changes cannot offer physical proof (some can, I will grant) - why allow a change?. Denver, I'm not saying a legal name change should be refused. Substitute your social security card if you don't want them knowing your name-of-birth. In any case, reluctance to display your birth name, in confidence to a potential employer is not a legal argument for rewriting history.. The only way that can be compared to marriage is to say "A and B just met each other last year, but we're going to retroactively marry them for the past 20 years because they were destined to be together since before birth, we just didn't know it then.". Th proclamation of "scientific fact" without evidence says more about your being a conman than it does anything else.. . I might as well deny the flying spaghetti monster, "we KNOW" that exists too..

I have decided I want to try to write a book on the prejudice and injustice of how people who are LGBT are treated in today's world. If you could please answer some of these unless they are too personal that would be wonderful. If you would like me to cite you in to the book how would you prefer I do? EX: username, real name, or no name.. . 1) how were you treated by friends, classmates, siblings, and parents?. 2) If you are/can get married, how did you feel when the law was accepted?. 3) How does the fight over LGBT marriage make you feel?. 4)How hard was it for you to tell other people?. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS, AND THIS REALLY MEANS A LOT TO ME. HAVE A NICE DAY:). to be honest if I were you I would be angry so you don't have to be sorry. And thanks for the responses:).

Previous employer won't give me a letter of employment verification.?

You don't have to be in the hospital with an end-stage illness to do a living will. You DO, however, have to sign the document in the presence of witnesses and/or a notary public (each state has different laws on this) who will attest that you signed the document of your own free will and that you were of sound mind when you signed it.. . Attorneys can prepare these documents for you, but you don't have to have an attorney do it. Many hospitals and health care systems offer fill-in-the-blank forms that conform to state law that will allow you to do it without hiring an attorney. You can also get living wills off the Internet. Best way to find one is to type in the words "living will" and also the name of your state.
