There is a difference between a power of attorney and a health care power of attorney, which do you have? If you do not have the HCPOA then you cannot make any decisions that deal with her health. If you hold just the power of attorney then you only have the right to make decisions regarding financial type things.. . Both will say when they can be executed. Also who drafted the power of attorney? They are not valid unless the realative signed them in fron tof a witness and they were notarized.
