Well, first of all, stop being so ridiculously melodramatic. Writing is not 'your life' and you've got plenty of other options. Saying things like that make you sound silly and pretentious. You are not physically incapable of living or surviving without being a professional novelist, so don't kid yourself that you are.. . Second, writing is not a business for someone who is scared of rejection. You need to face facts: even if your writing is brilliant, you will receive more rejections than you will acceptances for your work. Even if you become a published author, then you'll have to face up to seeing negative reviews of your work.. . The best way of dealing with the 'intense fear' (and again, you're being melodramatic when you say that - the sensation you get when someone is pointing a gun at your head or you see your child run out into the road in front of a moving car is 'intense fear' - you're experiencing nervous apprehension, not 'intense fear') is to bite the bullet and get used to having strangers look at your work. Try joining a creative writing group where you will share examples of your work and get used to having people critique it, and where you'll also get the chance to critique the work of others (which can be a really useful way of improving your own work, as it helps you to look at all writing with a more analytical eye). There are also critique websites out there, I believe, if you don't feel able to do it face to face.. . I'm sorry if I've what I've said has sounded harsh, but sometimes, people need to be told, for their own good, to get a grip and stop blowing things up out of all proportion, which is what you're doing. You're not doing yourself any favours, so you really do need to face your fears head-on.

The question would be whether the current owner (the seller) has the mineral rights to sell. You can't acquire rights from the seller that he/she doesn't own to begin with.. . In Texas, the mineral "estate" is a separate interest in land that can be legally separated from the surface "estate". There is no "new" land in Texas, so the question is clearly one of whether the mineral estate that runs beneath your surface estate has continued to change hands with the property over the years, or whether some long-ago owner held back the mineral rights, or conveyed them to a separate owner in some prior transaction.. . This is part of what a title company gets paid to determine. If you're interested in the status of mineral rights to the property you plan to purchase, you'll need to insure that the title company investigates the chain of legal ownership, to see if those rights belong to the seller. If they do, you can negotiate for the purchase of those rights, and your selling documents must make clear that you are purchasing those interests as well. If the seller does not hold the mineral estate, then the title company will be able to identify the holder of those rights, and you would have to negotiate a separate sale with that individual or organization.. . If you're confused by all of these matters - get in line. This is part of the reason that a good real estate attorney is invaluable in Texas!. . Good luck.

Of course I want what's best for our son but my ex left me and the child remained in my care since he was born and now that he is getting child support garnished he wants to have full custody what can I do to make sure I continue having fully custody . I don't mind havin joint I just want him to live with me.. . On his petition he stated that he wanted full custody because I work long hours. WTF??? Am I not supposed to work? I wish I could stay home and raise my child all day...but then I would be relying on the gov't right?. . My 2yr old is in a certified headstart program and he loves it. I work 12 hr shifts 3 days a week and go to school pt 2 days a week while my son is in headstart. I am always there for him at night and always get in quality time with him on a daily basis. He on the other hand is a police officer and he works night and does alot of OT , so ther nerve of him to even say I work long hours.. . Anyways how can I win custody of my child. I could understand if I was unfit but I am far from it and he just wants custody of our son for all the wrong reasons....help. . I have an appt with a lawyer in 2 weeks.. I have been working the same job with the same hrs for 5 yrs...so why didnt he just file once my son was born if it was an issue?.

Mom died and had no will. Stepfather is surviving spouse and I have two siblings. He wants to sell the house and needs my signature. He is remarried and plans to move. Will I be giving up any rights if I sign?. She died 3 yrs ago and I haven`t heard anything from probate? I live in South Carolina,so I have no clue whats going on and I know eventually. I`ll have to retain a lawyer. Thanks for the advice.
