  • Hi, my name is Catherine M. White.? Not only am I an attorney, but I am a wife to my wonderful husband who I have shared the past 20 years (plus) of my life with.? I have 5 beautiful children and you can often find me watching one of their sporting events out in my community.?

There are many things in life I enjoy; however one thing I really love is my work.? I spend my days helping people -?real people with real everyday problems.?

When you come to me, you are probably facing one of the most difficult moments in your life.? You? may be overwealmed and confused.? Your child may be in trouble; your marriage may be in trouble.? One thing you can count on is that you do not have to face these circumstances alone. You can come see me and know that you can expect real, honest guidance and representation.??

I practice law because it is what I love to do.? It is a priviledge to have the honor to step into someones life and assist them with their legal issues.? I went to law school later in life to do just that - to help people.? Together, we will work to solve your problems effectively and affordably.

A durable power of attorney will allow you to sell property for your father, or transfer title to automobiles and other personal property while he is still alive. When your father dies all the power you had as his attorney-in-fact ends immediately. And at that point you will have to file a petition in probate court to have his will allowed and have you appointed as the executor of his will.. . Your father should consult a competent attorney to get a durable power of attorney prepared so that you can take care of those things that he wants taken care of. Beware that you might have to have special forms to transfer automobile registration forms. Check with your Registry of Motor Vehicles with respect to their procedures when POAs are involved. If complicated, get your father to sign the required forms himself while he still can.. . Remember that if your father owns any real or personal property in his name alone at his death, then you will have to probate his Will and be appointed the Executor/Executrix thereof in order to sell that property. But you get a step up in cost basis for income tax purposes if that property is included in the computation of your father's federal and state estate tax (even if no tax is due, which is almost always the case).

Call the WA count ycoclerk of court and ask for the Ombudsman. Its their job to help you get the right forms and make sure they're filled in properly. Might be a good idea to buy another $35 of legal advise about what to put on the form because the ombud can't help you with that.

Social Security doesn't charge to change your name. Social Security doesn't make you go before a judge for a name change

Without seeing the actual file and knowing your operation, it's kind of hard to give effective solution, however in general you can try the following. 1. put the files in a shared folder on network where your employees can only read the file, whenever they try to save it, it can only be save locally, not to the shared folder. 2. use a Excel template, when save, a new workbook will be formed. 3. put protection on crucial part of the file, use validation or very simple vba to warn user of possible alteration of file.. 4. use backup program even backup script/window task manager to update your file in the shared folder on regular basis. 5. work on the design of the file, see what feature is most likely to be altered, then hide it or replace it with something else.
