• Mitzi, originally from Texas, made Colorado Springs her home in 1991. After obtaining her under graduate degree from Texas Tech University, she went on to pursue her doctor of jurisprudence degree from St. Mary's School of Law where Mitzi was a member of the Board of Barrister's. She was sworn in to the Texas State Bar in 1986. Her primary practice was civil litigation involving medical malpractice product's liability, and personal injury defense. After moving to Colorado, Mitzi focused on her family, re-entering trial law after being sworn in to the Colorado State Bar in 2006 and in to the United States District Court for the District of Colorado Federal Bar in 2007.

  Mitzi has joined the Quimby Family Law Team switching her trial practice from personal injury and professional malpractice litigation to pursue the path of her volunteer interest of advocating for children's and victims' rights. Mitzi, as a parent and a single parent, readily admits her greatest education came from her children which developed her desire to volunteer with organizations like CASA in supporting children's and victim's rights. Her advocacy for victims, these individuals, drew her to becoming a family advocate as an attorney.
