A durable power of attorney will allow you to sell property for your father, or transfer title to automobiles and other personal property while he is still alive. When your father dies all the power you had as his attorney-in-fact ends immediately. And at that point you will have to file a petition in probate court to have his will allowed and have you appointed as the executor of his will.. . Your father should consult a competent attorney to get a durable power of attorney prepared so that you can take care of those things that he wants taken care of. Beware that you might have to have special forms to transfer automobile registration forms. Check with your Registry of Motor Vehicles with respect to their procedures when POAs are involved. If complicated, get your father to sign the required forms himself while he still can.. . Remember that if your father owns any real or personal property in his name alone at his death, then you will have to probate his Will and be appointed the Executor/Executrix thereof in order to sell that property. But you get a step up in cost basis for income tax purposes if that property is included in the computation of your father's federal and state estate tax (even if no tax is due, which is almost always the case).

without the cost of a high powered do nothing attorney that is so lazy all they want is $$$$$ the constitution says everyone is entitled to full representation under the law where did the constitution change that every thing must be done by an attorney. we don't have any more money to spend on people that wear suits and do nothing to earn the $$$$ they outrageously charge. SURELY THERE IS AN HONEST ATTORNEY SOMEWHERE.

I am in high school and I am in a class called sports marketing. We are doing a project to get franchise information about a team and i picked the LA Lakers. I did everything I needed to do but I want extra credit and do something extra so I want to request a press kit (a information package about the team and the stats of the players and other stuff) I looked in the site of the LA Lakers and found how to email them. So when I was about to type. I had no idea what to say and convince them to send me a press kit. So I am asking for someone nice to write an email that sounds professional and requesting a press kit. If you write the best one I?ll give you 10 points so please help me out. If you don't have time to write an email can you give some advice to write a good email? (And also I do not want to look up the information the press kit would have because I want to show the things they sent to my teacher for extra credit.) Please help... thanks! =].

So I want to get my name changed and I was wondering how much would it cost roughly in the UK and where would I do it?. . Thanks :].

Normally when writing any letter, even a letter of complaint, it is just common courtesy to start the letter with 'Dear' so Dear Senator or Dear Senator Smith would be quite acceptable. However if you do not wish to open your letter in this way then why not head it like a Memo. Example below. Let's say you are enquiring as to the plans to build a road through your local park to which you object, you could style it as follows:-. . Senator's Office. City Hall. Los Angeles. California. . 1032 Second Avenue. Georgetown. Los Angeles. California. Date : 26th March 2006.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated as well but more than anything else I am looking for a way to open this email better...
