  • Darren A. Fish was born in California and raised in Indianapolis by his grandparents after they adopted him. Active in Boy Scouts and sports he lettered multiple times while playing football, baseball, and wrestling before graduating a year early to join the US Navy.

Furthering his interest in athletics he studied multiple disciplines in martial arts and won full contact tournaments in Michigan and Indiana and placed second in Illinois. Working in a neighborhood in Bradley, Illinois that lacked positive social programs, he started and became the first Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout troop while working for the maximum security Pontiac Correctional Center of the Illinois Department of Corrections. Eventually, he launched the American Dragons Martial Arts Academy, offering people free or low cost training in martial arts to build self-esteem, enhance self-protection, and provide intensive physical exercise to children, people with disabilities, and military personnel.

Immediately upon leaving the US Navy he began to attend classes at Kankakee Community College, Heartland Community College, and Illinois Central College before completing his undergraduate education at Illinois State University. On two separate occasions Darren testified before the House of Representatives, offering legislative proposals that were later largely approved. In addition, he was a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, offering his expert opinion at Oprah’s request.

Darren’s activities include working with many charitable organizations, including the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elk, the Scottish Rite Consistory and Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, and the Shriners. For the Shriners, Darren helped raise money for children needing free medical attention for burns and orthopedic care. A lifetime member of the AMVETS, he has continued to serve the needs of military veterans.

While attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Darren founded an organization to assist and provide free legal assistance to veterans via law students. Additionally, he worked for The John Marshall Law School Housing Clinic to assist Chicago residents facing housing issues.

After graduating from law school, Darren opened a solo practice in Naperville, Illinois, concentrating on creating a law practice focusing on personalized attention to clients without causing them financial hardship.

As an active member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association he continues to promote excellence as a standard for lawyers advocating for the public.

Darren’s success and continuous growth revealed a demand for high-quality legal service at an affordable price and led to the addition of more attorneys, each possessing the service-oriented qualities that Darren demanded of himself. By 2007, leading the charge against unscrupulous mortgage lending practices, Darren’s growing law firm was perfectly placed to lend immediate help to homeowners suffering under the staggering foreclosure crisis.

In 2011, The Law Offices of Darren A. Fish was transformed into Fish Law Group, LLC. Darren now dedicates a majority of his time assisting attorneys from around the country and teaching classes in how to handle foreclosures, bankruptcy, and family law issues in an affordable way to help those who need it the most.

Darren has expanded his practice to three convenient locations in Chicago, Aurora and Grayslake, IL. The Fish Law Group reputation has spread and now the firm serves hundreds of Chicago land families and individuals defending and protecting their legal rights.

Good luck!

Can someone give me an idea of what some webdesigner packages are as far as price and what you can get..

Unemployment dept. says I am not on file with the number on my social security card..

. thanks a lot..

'How should I write this letter?' With a pen maybe, just kidding.. . Let me start over, Hi, if would be professional to type it on the computer and both mail it and email it as a precaution. If your wondering about the content, follow this guide:. . In the first paragraph, put a bit about yourself: your age, school, what you hope to be (if it's related to your work experience!). . In the second paragraph, put why you want to work there on work experience.. . Finally, write a closing paragraph thanking them for their time, and hoping that they will give you the opportunity to work there.. . Don't make it hugely long: it should fit easily onto one side of A4 paper, and without having to use 6 point type to get it to fit!! They don't want a book to read, and the manager is likely to be busy anyway. Print it out, don't hand-write it. You need to keep it short and sweet, in good, clear English with correct grammar and punctuation - if you're not sure, get someone to check it! I can't emphasise this enough: the amount of job applications I get that are illiterate or illegible is amazing, and why would I hire someone who can't spell, and can't be bothered to check?
