    lawyer Carlock-Gonnissen, Meghan Amanda Reviews

I changed my name in California and this is how:. I started telling people I met my new name. I told people that already knew me that I was changing my name and to call me by my new name. I had to remind them CONSTANTLY (this is actually quite difficult, esp. since I forgot sometimes as I had to learn my new name as well). . I didn't change it on my drive's license, but about 8 months later I lost it and went for a new one to the DMV. In the form, I simply put in my new name and also listed in the box provided my previous name. I was issued a license with my new name.. . Everything I did for the next 8 years or so I did in my new name. I replaced my Social Security card with my new name. I opened bank accounts, purchased vehicles, got credit cards, loans, employment, memberships, &c, all with my new name.. . I started travelling, and my old passport had expired. To get a new passport I had to have my sister sign a notarized document saying that my name was in fact not the one on my birth certificate but that I had been using it for over 5 years. I also provided documentation from a credit card that I had in my new name for over 5 years.. . This was I felt a pretty simple process. I merely introduced myself and lived life with my new name.. . I remember around the same time a guy at the college wrote an article on how he changed his name. He detailed how he obtained all his documents and had to file at the courthouse and go to various court dates and pay various fees, that in the end it cost him I believe around a thousand dollars. I prefer my method, which cost me the price of replacing my driver's license and passport that needed to be replaced anyway, plus a $10 notary fee.. . Ultimately, what is changing your name about? If you need a piece of paper, pay the thousand or so dollars and go to court. If you just want people to call you something different than they do now, simply ask them to do so.

however, many IP attorneys are no different from other attorneys in their willingness to provide a free initial consultation (typically and hour or less).. . Most IP attorneys would then require a retainer of no less then $3,000 to $5,000 if you and s/he were planning on getting serious about you making him/her your IP attorney. Some require $10,000 as a retainer. Paying an IP attorney by the hour would be possible, I suppose... but their requiring a retainer would be more likely. That amount, however, would be highly negotiable with at least some of them... again, things are tough right now. Who knows what you could agree to.. . As for the particulars of what you want to do... I have thoughts, but if you're going to be talking to an attorney anyway, I suggest you just get your information from him/her.. . Hope that helps.

I just called the court house to ask them what I could do as far as custody without contacting an attorney because I do not have the $$. They said NOTHING. They said that I would have to know the types of forms to get, and they "by law" cannot provide me with that information!!! So, here I am... being threatened by my husband, and I need some type of structure in place, but cannot afford it. I need to file for full custody of my children because according to my local police, he can come take them anytime he wants because there is no custody order!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone please help me, I do not want my children around that freaking meth head!!!!. I live in SC, Does anyone know the forms that I would need to file and how much it would cost? I really have NO clue what to do, I've never been through this before and I"M FREAKING OUT! Please someone help, I do not want to call Child Protection Services either because I've not heard very many good things about them. All I want is full custody of my children and to know how to go about obtaining it.

13 is too young.. your parents/guardians would have to change it for you. (unless you become an emancipated minor.. but I am 99% sure you are still too young for that even.). . at 18 you just have a good reason, pick up the papers from your local court house.. fill them out (or pay a lawyer to do it for you) and go before the judge.. tell him your reason and it's done.

is about health and social care policy.
