my brother no longer needs this and we've tried to make him understand that but he can't grasp it.. . Question is: with power of attorney, can these neighbors use that to force him into a nursing home? (They clearly want to do this but I feel there is no reason at all to put him into a nursing home) And if they can force him into a nursing home, could that cost me the house? (again he has only a "life-estate" in the house, though one attorney says it's still co-ownership.). Please don't post non-answer "air bubbles" Obviously an attorney has to be called in. I need some concrete information now. Moral: if you have no idea how to answer the question please don't waste my time and Yahoo answers space.

Interesting question. A lot of nineteenth century writers did this. I have never had this explained to me but I think it was a device to let the reader know what kind of place was being referred to without having to make up fictional names for them. Like, many dates are given with blanks in. It gives the readers a sense of the general time, place and people without revealing details. Also, if the author was basing the place and character on something real it protected the anonymity of the original. . Just a guess.

    Thanks in advance.

So I came up with the idea of almost like a reverse countdown. Instead of taking away, adding something everytime I am reminded of her. I can't think of how to do this. It can be artsy, or crafty, anything really. I'm so stuck, please help..

If I went through the process to legally change my name in California and want to change the name on my birth certificate, would the birth certificate show my old name and then my new name or will they make a completely new certificate with only my new name?. . Here is what it says on the Instructions for Filing a Petition for Change of Name:. . "If you want to amend a birth certificate to show the name change, you should contact the following office:".
