My mother and brother are joint owners of their home. My mother is now in permanent care and I have power of attorney. Can I force my brother to sell the house to help my mother to have better care. The title deeds are held in joint names but states whoever survives the other becomes the sole owner..

My dad was recently diagnosised with lung cancer, but it has progress to where his options are chemo and hospice care, which means he has 6 months, and maybe a few more with the chemo. It all came about with in the last 6 weeks. He's very weak and doesn't want to eat. I don't know how to bring it up, I know he is still in shock. I just want to make sure everything is in order, for me it's a way to deal with this. Taking care of him, taking him to his appointments, bring him food, cleaning, what ever he will let me do. Which is not much, he spends most days on the couch, drinks a few ensures and not much else. I've made sure that I am there every other day or someone else is, he lives about 1/2 hour from me, or I would be there everyday I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I don't know about home care, I think he would rather have that then be moved in with my sister or I. He wouldn't want to burden us, which is not the case. Any info. would be appreciated..

Im not sure what 2 say in the first letter since i am the first one 2 write it between both of us. it would help me if u gave me a sample letter and u put blank in prenthases were ever i needed 2 add a word.
