how do you change childs last name??

what are the benefits of not having a Living Will or advance directive?

I am looking for an estate planning lawyer in san mateo, ca. I recently moved here and do not have anyone I can ask for a recommendation.

I was told that hiring a real estate lawyer is not absolutely necessary, since there is a lawyer who functions on behalf of the lender to prepare the proper paperwork. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? It would be almost an additional $1,000..

I am applying for an internship at a civil engineering firm, but I majored in zoology and environmental science. Should I address this in my cover letter?? HOW?? help pleasee..

Yes, you must petition for a name change and have a court order. Once that is done you have to change everything else, this includes Social Security and the IRS and they would need a certified copy of the court order showing your name change once your petition is granted by a judge. I don't know what kind of court fees this would incur or whether or not you would need an attorney. I know there would be some court fees and lots of paper work but you could get through it without an attorney if you are knowledgeable in legal jargon.
