So far I've written a little, but I don't really think it's going to actually get me chosen... And I don't know if it's long enough, or what to add if it isn't. So help, please!. . Dear Mrs Hynes,. . I am not your typical candidate for prefect-ship. I do not have perfect attendance. I do not participate in a lot of extra-curricular activities run at the school. I find it hard to be polite, nice, and sociable to people whose personalities I do not like. I do not like doing things exactly as I am told, I prefer to do things in the manner I find most suitable.. . Despite this, I still fell inclines to apply, Not because I feel that I will be chosen based on the qualities (or lack thereof) that I have mentioned above. But because I believe that the ability to be a prefect is not limited to those who have the ideal qualities and personality. Being a prefect is not about having perfect attendance, or participating in every extra-curricular activity offered. It is not about being nice & sociable, or about doing as you are told. If this is not the case, then I don't want to be a prefect. I want to be a prefect among a variety of students. Students with different personalities, backgrounds, morals, strengths. I do not want to be one among many, chosen for my ability to be a typical student, a typical prefect.. . I am more than that.. . I believe in who I am and understand that who I am is not always what people want me to be. I am introverted - most want me to be more extroverted. I am dedicated to my horse & my schoolwork - most want me to "live a little" and shirk my responsibilities in these areas in order to be sociable. I think outside the box - especially in my GCSE years, I had to try and change this as exam boards wanted very specific answers to their questions. I have strong ethics and morals and will not do something that does not agree with them. People are constantly asking me to change who I am

Secondly, put the date underneath the address on the left hand-side.

I'm planning on moving to California- where should I live?

Oh, and the best part is, if you make grammar mistakes, you can say that it's not you, that's how the character writes--it's more realistic like that.

As for the letter, just be sure to include your name, the current date, the date of termination, your unit number and your new address/phone. Make it clear in the letter whether only you will be leaving, or if everyone will be leaving. Keep it short and to the point
