You are not required to change name in the Philippines, if you want to you should be able to do it in your consulate, probably by registering your marriage(I'm presuming this as the name change reason.) in the Philippines. If you are considering going trough all this trouble to avoid the headache of traveling with Passport in one name and green card on another, that's not an unusual situation, and there's no problem in doing it, you have to buy the tickets round trip with the maiden name as it is in the passport and show your green card(not the I94) at the airliner to leave. the country and upon arrival you go to the US citizens lane and present your passport and the green card with different names, they have on the system your maiden name, so this is painless.

How do i legally change my name?

    process of transcription?

    Loaning my pony?

Sorry to hear it, but 'Power of Attorney' and 'Financial responsibility', . are not the same thing.

I am thinking of "God parents" but I read that doesn't legally mean they go to them. My son is now 8 months old and things happen sometimes but I just want to be prepared. I am not sure if I should put my parents b/c my parents are in their late 60s now but my mom loves him just as much as I do. And, for my sister and her hubby, they are both in the Mililtary, high ranking, mid 20s, VERY financially stable but live a state a way from my inlaws but I know they would be willing to arrange flights to visit and trips to visit. As for my husbands family, my mother in law is barely making ends meet, is not stable at all and in his family they pass kids around like they are toys. If you don't understand what I mean, they have lots of kids on my husband's side and they say "go stay with so and so for a few weeks/months". None of his family are financially stable and hold little marriage values. All the kids have different fathers. I know my husband wants one of his family members to have custody but then none are stable. It's going to be a fight I know when we sit down and talk about this.
