  • I’m a 1999 graduate of McMinn County High School, a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a 2010 graduate of the Nashville School of Law. My wonderful wife Kari and I are both from Athens and we have no intentions of ever leaving. Kari is a full-time pharmacist at Walgreens and she works part-time keeping me from destroying our house.

My route to becoming a lawyer was not the most common, but it was tremendously gratifying. After a few years of selling pumps for my parents' business I decided that a lifetime of dad yelling at me could only be avoided by going back to school. In 2006 I decided to go to law school and that August I moved to Nashville to attend the Nashville School of Law (NSL). NSL is a 4-year law school with classes at night and is designed to allow working people to get a law degree.

I quickly found a job at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Franklin, TN and spent my first 6 months of law school working in the golf department and going to school in the evenings. Around January of 2007 I finally found a job at a law firm, sort of. I was the copy room clerk, low man on the totem pole. My desk was in the basement of a 15 story building and my job was pretty simple: make sure the copy machines had paper in them, make sure the refrigerators were full of sodas, and deliver the mail to the secretaries.

Six months later I moved up the ladder and took a job with a different law firm where I managed personal injury cases, worked with clients and insurance companies, and helped negotiate settlements. A few months passed and homesickness sunk in, so I decided to move back to Athens. I soon found a job with an attorney in Athens and would work there until about 3:30 in the afternoon on weekdays. After work I would load up and start my commute to Nashville for class. I had class two, three, and sometimes four nights a week. Every night after class I’d drive home and repeat the process the next day for three very long and very miserable years.

Finally the years of commutes and study sessions were over and life could begin again. I practiced for a year before going out on my own and opening Walden & Associates, PLLC in 2011. As Walden & Associates began to pick up steam, it soon became time to expand. In January of 2013 I formed a partnership with attorney and McMinn County native Russell J. Blair and what started as Walden & Associates is now Walden Blair & Associates, PLLC.

Someone called DHS due to the abandonment and DHS wants to take the children into fostercare due to my sisters volitale behavior. They'll leave the children in my mother's care as long as she has custody of some sort. Otherwise my sister can come in and out of their lives and take them and then leave them again at her will, because she doesn't think about the safty and well being of her children. Now, if Sis takes the kids, DHS will step in and put them into foster care because she is not a fit parent and Mom doesnt' have custody. They're basically floating in limbo right now.. We desperately need a legal document that gives Mom custody of these kids so that they are safe from being ripped out of this family. They are very loved and cherished in home with Mom and myself, Mom's neighbor.. I've posted this in another forum... This is how desperate we are.. Thanks for the help so far.

My Mom and Dad have been caring for my Grandma and are the only 2 people in charge of her Will and Estate. My mom grocery shops for her and goes to the pharmacy while my Dad takes her to Doctor's appointments, fixes problems around her condo, etc.. . My Grandma was involved in a bad car accident a few years back (through no fault of her own) and won a large settlement from it. Ever since then (and never before) my uncle has been coming around trying to be a part of my grandma's life, trying to worm his way into getting some of her settlement. My uncle is looking for money because he is broke (from the alcohol I assume, see below).. . My Dad and my uncle are blood relatives (brothers) and they got into a heated argument a few weeks back. My uncle has a long history of alcoholism, where as my father has not drank a sip in 35-years (to my knowledge my father has never had an alcohol problem

(You don't need to have a lengthy letter detailing why you want to leave your job or anything like that and they can't force you to give a reason. It would also be a good idea to keep a copy of the letter for your records and ask your manager to sign and date your copy as proof that you have in fact handed him/her a letter stating you no longer wish to work there.)

Audit Sampling is the application of an audit procedure to less than 100 percent of the items within an account balance or class of transactions for the purpose of evaluating some characteristic of the balance or class. This section provides guidance for planning, performing, and evaluating audit samples.. . The auditor often is aware of account balances and transactions that may be more likely to contain misstatements. He considers this knowledge in planning his procedures, including audit sampling. The auditor usually will have no special knowledge about other account balances and transactions that, in his judgment, will need to be tested to fulfill his audit objectives. Audit sampling is especially useful in these cases. . There are two general approaches to audit sampling: nonstatistical and statistical. Both approaches require that the auditor use professional judgment in planning, performing, and evaluating a sample and in relating the evidential matter produced by the sample to other evidential matter when forming a conclusion about the related account balance or class of transactions. The guidance in this section applies equally to non-statistical and statistical sampling.
