I got the format down and i know what i'm suppose to put in the letter i jus need a sample because i'm stuck..

I would like to make a form letter. in the acct# and address area I would like to have QQ and then run a macro usin Alt+Q and it highlight the QQ in the document and each time I hit Alt+Q it will move to the next set of QQ. Any Ideas?.

Not enough info about your current loan. The Congress has been making a lot of changes to tax law. As of Dec 31, 2007 (could have changed since then), if the loan is the original debt on your primary residence and a nonrecourse loan (which most are) you will not have to pay taxes on the forgiven debt. 1099C is cancellation of debt which is income. If this was a refinance and a recourse loan (as most are) then you will have to pay taxes on the 1099C. If it is a recourse loan the finance company can sue you for their money instead of forgiving the debt. Most dont. For your particular situation you need to read your documents and find out where you stand.

All this attention to detail.....I personally don't see anything wrong with your letter. It meets all the requirments that a formal letter should have in terms of language. One little mishap shouldn't make it null and void.
