• John grew up in Reading, Massachusetts. He graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1982. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst from 1982 to 1986. Upon completing college, John entered Suffolk University Law School in the fall of 1986. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School, cum laude, in 1989. John was sworn into the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1989. In 2005, he was sworn into the Bar of the State of New Hampshire. John was sworn into The Supreme Court of the United States in 2009. John has served as a Conciliator for the Superior Court of Essex County since 2005.

  From 1990 to 2001, John was an Associate with a six attorney Cambridge-based law firm. During his tenure with that firm, John represented clients in a wide array of legal matters. He handled personal injury cases ranging from car accidents, to construction site accidents, to fires and explosions, to complex product liability. His clients had injuries ranging from soft tissue, to fractures, to burns, to traumatic brain injuries. John gained experience as a criminal defense attorney representing clients that were charged with crimes in the District and Superior Courts of the Commonwealth. John was also called upon to represent clients for a number of different business related issues, including business formation and commercial litigation, and real estate matters. John gained invaluable trial experience during his time in Cambridge. He tried more than thirty jury trial and numerous bench trials.?
