Is a Will valid if recorded in California when there is no living trust?

The major requirement regarding the "style" is that the will be uniform in "style." If you handwrite it, you should handwrite the ENTIRE will. If you type it, type the ENTIRE will. I wouldn't type up the will and handwrite in the blanks.. . Wills do NOT get notarized in any state.

First is principle. Many young idealistic lawyers truly believe in the system, and believe that the indigent have the right to a good defense. Same reasons lawyers go to work for groups like the ACLU or ACLJ, or for organizations like the SPLC (None of whom pay even CLOSE to what a big city PD gets). . Second is *short term* money. No, a lawyer with 20 years experience as a PD won't make anything like as much as a lawyer with 20 years seniority in a big law firm - but a brand new PD will earn a lot more than a brand new Associate at that firm, and he has a lot more job security too. In my county, a PD(I) starts at $62,200, which lasts six months. Then you make PD(II) which is $80,200 to $97,600. If you stay, expect about 4 years to PD(III) - $98,500 to $120,000, and about another 4 or 5 to PD(IV) $113,400 to $144,500. So within 10 years you'll be making about $120,000, with 30 days a year paid vacation, a non-contributory medical and dental plan, and "peace officer" pension - which means you can retire on a tax free 80% of your salary after 20 years. Start straight out of law school at 25, and at 45 you can go start your own firm with a tax free $100,000 a year pension to live on while you get it started.. . Third is interest in the job. A new Associate in a big firm will NEVER see the inside of a courtroom. He will spend 10 or 11 hours a day sitting in his cubicle writing briefs and motions, or researching filings, on oddball real estate or corporate law issues that he may have no interest at all in. Your first day on the job as a PD will be "Welcome aboard! Here are your first 25 cases. You'd better get down to the court right away - you have three defendants being arraigned this morning.". . You can't (not that I know of) write directly into a PDF File. However you can use the built in OCR tools to convert the page to text, then copy/paste the text into a word document, and then edit it.. . Or you can try File -> export -> to word and then edit and save it. Then convert it back into a PDF.
