My wife and I were married in Jamaica last summer. We FINALLY received our official copies of our marriage certificates.... so.. no what? I can't seem to get a clear answer on what we do next to get my wife's name changed.. help! We are in Texas...

I am trying to make a form letter in MS Word. I need the letter to say the same thing each time, but would like to automatically just tab to date, address, Dear so and so and a blank in the letter itself to be filled in, and I want to be able to tab to these designated fields. I can't figure out how to set this up, does anyone know exactly how to do this? I appreciate any help or guidance in this, thank you!.

You don't really need an attorney, and yes, they WOULD charge you a fee to write up a contract. That's how they make their money.. . You might want to look for a promissory note template. I found three samples of them on the internet with a simple search (terms "promissory note template") and you can also find them if you don't like the ones I've listed. You can get a Notary Public to witness your signature. Just ask beforehand what you'll need to bring, and how much it will cost. In my state, it costs no more than $6 for the first signature, and then $1 for each additional signature. A notary public just witnesses that someone has signed a document, and has brought ID to prove that s/he is who s/he says she is, and is not any sort of legal adviser.. . I'm not any sort of legal adviser, either, but they covered this in basic accounting.

The lady that approached you is more likely to be a selling agent for a modelling school or a portfolio studio. These people are after your money.. . No-one, not even a professional, can tell from a written description if you have the potential to model or to what category of modelling you would be suited.. . KittySue is right with her information, but if you have a particular interest or not in a certain style of modelling do mention it at interview if you are invited to one. Such information helps the agent to build a picture of the type of work they can get you. No point in giving a model work where he or she hates it and are going to look miserable. It`s one thing to say models have to do what they`re given to do, but a good agent will put forward models that are going to do a job well and not because they have to. Good communication & information between model and agent = good communication & information between agent and client.

You say the letter was from the IRS, but then say it's the DE taxes - the IRS isn't involved in that, so sounds like your letter was really from DE. I doubt that they have changed the law retroactively, it sounds like something you were supposed to do at the time but didn't, and maybe just didn't know about.. . Let them know that you moved at the end of 2003 if your business wasn't active in DE after you moved. You'd be responsible for any taxes while you were there though. If there's a phone number on the notice, it might be worth calling and talking to a person, but follow up by mail..

I am making a scrapbook calender for my cousin and if i buy the only stickers for the months of the year, they are 5 dollars a piece...In the end i will end up spending a good 120 bucks on making this calener.... . Does anybody know where I can get some print at home templates for the months of the year? Is there a stencil out there I can buy where I can cut the months out and make it look nice? I realize you can use the letter stickers, but they are smaller than I would like. This calender is a full 12x12 size. Thanks in advance..
