Talk to a lawyer in your area who practices in the area of estate planning.. . Your mother may not be competent to sign a power of attorney. In order for a POA to be valid, the person signing it has to have the mental capacity to understand what he or she is signing. Your mother's doctor should be able to tell you what her level of understanding is, and the lawyer can help determine whether the level is sufficient.. . If she is not competent, then you might need to go to court to be appointed as her Guardian or Conservator. The process varies from state to state, so you need, again, a lawyer in your own area.
I have had the same social security card for many years, but when I originally got it, my first mae was misspelled. So I took a pen and corrected it. I changed an "a", into an "o". My last name is correct, and so is the number. I never had any problems, but it kinda bugs me that it isn't perfect. Should I just leave it alone, or should I apply for a duplicate and correct the name? I know dealing with the Social Security Administration is a hassle, and I would probably have to waste a whole day going to their office. What should I do?.
I had school early in the morning and forgot to bring my resume. I thought I had it with me when I checked for my application form. So when I walked into the Cupcake store I handed my application, and the owner asked for my resume. I said I didn't have it, but most of my info was on the application form. I've only just realized right after I said that, the application has NOTHING about me! Nothing about my personality or anything about my design knowledge or volunteer work. He was really nice and quiet so I thought maybe I hand wung it?. . It's been bothering me all day, I want to email them my resume, but I don't know how to apologize properly in my message, and what should I put in the subject?!.
