I currently have a registered common law marriage in the state of Texas. By registered I mean my husband and I went to the county court clerk and swore under oath that we have been living as husband and wife since 2003. I wasn't sure if this would allow me to change my last name. I kept my last name because of my daughter from a previous marriage. (biological father wants nothing to do with her) Recently my daughter started asking about changing her name too. Can we both go do this? No contact from the biological father in 3 years after he claimed to want to terminate parental rights. (Had him served he never signed). . So can I go and change my name and my daughters to refelect my registered common law marriage??.

There is a problem if your grandmother has Alzheimer's disease -- she may not have the legal capacity to sign a power of attorney. I was involved in three situations in the past 5 years where a person did not have the capacity to sign a power of attorney. This is a decision that should be made by a lawyer after consulting with a family physician because there are different degrees of Alzheimer's. The key is whether somebody has the competency to understand the document they are signing. I am sorry that there is not an easy answer.. . There is also a legal issue probably more of interest to attorneys than to the general public. Who is the client? Is it you? Is it your grandmother? There are issues of potential conflict of interest.. . The power of attorney document needs to be signed by the principal [the person granting the power of attorney]. The agent [the person to whom the power of attorney is given] in some jurisdictions need not sign the power of attorney. In Pennsylvania, there are particular requirements under statute as to both the form and execution of a power of attorney. In Pennsylvania, the agent must sign an acknowledgement that he understands the requirements of the document and that he must maintain separate records on behalf of the principal and must not commingle the principal's funds with his own.

If someone has power of attorney over their wife and said wife has land that was inheritted to her by her father when he passed away, but now the husband and wife are getting a divorce, does the husband or wife get the land in the split? Because the husband is wanting to take the land she was inherritted, kick her out of her own home, and sell the house she has had for years..

"he kept the title to his car in the glove compartment". . *assignment - the instrument by which a claim or right or interest or property is transferred from one person to another. . *deed of trust, trust deed - a written instrument legally conveying property to a trustee often used to secure an obligation such as a mortgage or promissory note. . *conveyance - document effecting a property transfer. . *income tax return, return, tax return - document giving the tax collector information about the taxpayer's tax liability

ok i have a mad crush not sure what to do?

I want to quit my job and i really want to do it in a big way because i have never been more disgusted with a group of people in my life. I know there might be some possibility that future jobs may contact my employer and asked the terms on which I left but i just cant close this chapter of my life without getting my disgust off my chest. So any HR workers out there can you tell me if I'm going a little too far with this resignation letter?.. . I am writing this letter as an official notice of my resignation of my current position as a *** at W******. Though I have enjoyed the year of service that I was able to provide your customers and the experienced I have gained working with your company, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be a part of your organization. My reasons for resigning are more complicated than I choose to elaborate on. However I will say that I entered this position in hopes of working first hand in an environment that is appealing to me in order to make a difference in peoples? lives and provide excellent customer service. Instead I found myself working in a work place with constant confusion, disorganization, hypocrisy, nepotism and in some instances just plane unprofessionalism. Though my record as an employee may not be without flaw I do feel that I fulfilled all my responsibilities to best of my ability and provided customers with above excellent customer service, but I refuse to continue working in an environment that instead of providing a plat form of growth for all employees creates tension and leverage only for those employees who are deemed worthy (mainly through blood line or social connections). With that being said, I am presenting this letter as a two weeks? notice to my resignation of my position. . Sincerely . ***.
