I have twice caught my mother stealing from me on behalf of people she barely knew. The first time, she accepted cash payment for her trouble. Forgiving her then was not easy, but I managed it. The second time, she involved my baby sister in the plot, and forgiving her was even harder. The final straw was a poison-pen letter I received from her out of the blue, demanding that I not 'bother' her ever again.. . My parents signed parental responsibility for me over to the state when I was fifteen years old, and after more than 20 years struggling to maintain some sort of relationship with them, I finally gave up. Every time my mother has re-entered my life, it has only been to stir up sh*t and sit back to observe the havok she left in her wake. She is manipulative, crafty, and anything but honest. When I got that letter, it came as a welcome relief. While I love my mother, I don't like her as a person and have no room in my life for dishonest, deceptive or manipulative people. I sent her a letter back saying, in essence, "You asked for it.....you got it.". . Life is far more peaceful now.
