  • For more than 25 years, the attorneys at the South Florida law firm of Rosen, P.A., and the firms at which we have previously worked, have been helping business and individual clients obtain the right solutions when faced with difficult challenges. Today, our firm's unwavering commitment to service and excellence as trusted legal advisors and advocates remains as strong as ever.

We know there is no substitute for thorough preparation and hard work.? All of our attorneys take a comprehensive, no-nonsense approach to resolving conflicts and achieving each client's desired results. We also understand that each matter must be addressed in view of its own, particular facts, and that each client's circumstances must be thoroughly reviewed as if it is the only case in the office. With this in mind, we assemble the right team of lawyers, support staff and if necessary, specialists in each case, to ensure that every client receives the most appropriate and cost-effective representation possible.

    Bankruptcy and Insolvency Practice

Eric A. Rosen has significant experience representing institutional and individual lenders, investors, mortgagees, purchasers of debt, credit card companies and others as secured and unsecured creditors, as well as court-appointed trustees and petitioning creditors, in business bankruptcy cases under Chapters 11 and 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. The amount of debt in these cases has ranged from less than $200,000 to as much as $200,000,000. Lawyers in our firm have also served as counsel to official creditors' committees and creditors' committee members in cases with claims in excess of $300,000,000.

We have substantial experience representing debtors and debtors in possession in liquidation and reorganization cases under chapters 7 and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, from inception of cases through confirmation and consummation of court approved plans of reorganization. The debt in these cases has ranged from under $100,000 to in excess of $100,000,000. We also regularly participate in out of court restructurings and liquidations (workouts) on behalf of both debtors and creditors.

Although much of our practice involves complex business cases, our lawyers also routinely represent individual debtors in cases under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code and in out-of-court, unsecured debt negotiations.

We are one of only three law firms in Palm Beach County listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in the field of bankruptcy law.

Business Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation Practice

While we pride ourselves on our ability to keep clients out of court and have had great success resolving cases in both mediation and arbitration forums, we are extremely comfortable in the courtroom. Our attorneys have served as lead counsel - and won - at every stage of litigation, before juries in federal court, judges and appellate panels in state court, and various industry-specific arbitration tribunals. Eric A. Rosen has appeared in jurisdictions throughout the country, including Texas, Delaware, New York, Kentucky, Massachusetts and New Jersey. Our founding Shareholder has served as lead counsel in a broad spectrum of business litigation matters, and has won a substantial number of cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, ranging from small arbitration proceedings, to bench trials and appeals in state court, to multi-week jury trials in federal court involving more than $35,000,000.Commercial Law Practice

We help clients form companies, structure them to properly reflect a specific type of business or venture, address relationships among owners so as to avoid future disputes and provide for succession of ownership, assist these companies with their affairs in and out of the ordinary course of business, and reorganize them when necessary. We have extensive experience drafting and negotiating all types of business agreements in a wide variety of contexts and across a broad spectrum of industries.

We have experience representing buyers and sellers of companies – whether it is assets or stock, as well as buyers and sellers of interests in companies. Eric A. Rosen has written a book entitled “Buyouts, Line By Line” which explains the contracts, and the clauses in them, that are often used when an owner of a company sells his or her interest back to the company, secured financing is involved in the purchase, and the seller remains with the company as an employee.

I typed up an important letter today, uploaded it to the Internet, and went to Office Max to have it printed in their print/copy dept. I was stunned when the copy dept. clerk told me she wasn't allowed to go online, even for this, and that she could get fired for doing it. A manager confirmed it and said sorry, I was out of luck. Office Max doesn't allow employees to go online because Office Max can't tell if its employees will be reading personal email or helping a customer like me with a normal piece of business in the 21st century. It just made me wonder, how many other places are so... constrained?.

So im asking this for my couzin. She had her baby girl and the dad was in jail she put his last name, but he didnt sign the birth certificate. Is there any way that she can change her last name to hers? I live in california so anyone knows let me know thanks.

I really want to do a family tree but don't know where to begin. I asked a question about my Elswick and Wright name. Well I changed my name to Mike Zion in Jan. 06 so the name Zion doesn't have any thing to do with Zionism or anything.

Since his award, Mr. Maestro had been interviewed for various publications, including Sample Newspaper, Sample Magazine, and Sample Trade Publication, but he has agreed to grant me an exclusive interview on this particular angle in relation to his award.. . The personality of this educator is of great magnitude. As an interviewer, I've found him to be gregarious, talkative and very forthcoming. I am positive I can convey this personality into an article, and that other teachers, both minority and otherwise, will be able to take a little piece of his practice from this article.. . I could have a rough draft to you within three weeks of acceptance. I anticipate a question and answer format, but am flexible based on Your Magazine's needs.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this employment opportunity.. . ----------------------------------------. . Hope this helps to point you in the right direction. You can still make some changes but remember to stay positive in everything you say.. . Good luck!

Hi Laura,. . Partnerships can be really dangerous, even if you have a great agreement. Think about governments and organizations that try to have multiple people in complete charge - it rarely ever turns out well!. . Instead, try starting your business with you as the owner, and employ the person you were going to be partners with. Give them a lot of choices and decision making power, and use a commission or profit sharing based model for their pay - it'll be similar to a partnership, but without all the risk legally and emotionally!
