There are different styles of writing: expository, perusuasive, descriptive, etc. One way of teaching writing is to read models of the target type with the students. Satisfactory answers will basically copy the style of the model. Excellent answers will embellish and enhance the model. Obviously you didn't write the type of essay that was required. Sometimes you have to follow the rules. Even in a creative writing class you sometimes have to do what you're told. Writing a letter will do you no good, I can assure you.

Just having a look at the Irish census it seem Kerry and Cork are the Counties where most Flavin's were....a few in Dublin and one or two in Wexford or Limerick.............but their are several pages of them.. . So it should be fairly easy to find her family. Do you know when she was born, if not her parents names or names of siblings she may have had?. . I am presuming you saying she moved in the 1930-1940s which is interesting, with World War 2 and Ireland remaining neutral many Irish moved to help the War effort and never returned, at that time because they were treated very badly by the irish authorities, refused help/support and treated badly by their neighbours (1922 separation still fresh in their minds) . Not so long ago I did some memory boxes for a heritage centre in Ireland and during that research I heard many things about that 'moment in time'

if you do an internet search on "clinical research studies st louis" there will be a lot of links that come up that will help you find these studies for money.

    Legally changing name..?

Schools require LEGAL certificates, a copy you fill in is not a legal document. You can go to the town hall where you were born and get one, about 10 bucks I think. If you have moved from there, you can find the vital records link for the town hall and follow instructions from there.
