Do you know which solicitor your mum used? if so go back to them they should have a copy of the change of name deed ( I would assume your mum changed your name by deed poll) this is official but you do need to provide a copy of the deed and will probably need to send your birth certificate as well as a copy of your change of name deed when applying for a passport and for most if not all official paper work you should need to provide this but usually only the once. If you don't know which solicitor your mum went to I'm not really sure how else you could find out you could try other solicitors to see if there is a way they can find out or as a last resort your mum may have had to send a copy of the letter to the child benefits office you might find its worth ringing them as documents like that may still be on file even if archived if that helps but they can't help further the actual letter should have the solicitors name on so that could help too

Hi,. Now you (plural) have discovered that 'your skiving off has a way of coming back to haunt you.'. . These few lines may help you write your letter of apology:. Leave a double white space between each paragraph.. . One address will do here.. . To The Principal - . Name of you school. Date here.. (Make sure you get the spelling of Principal correct).. . Dear Principal, . We wish to offer our apology to you and the Assembly for our absence on (date here).. . On reflection we realize that Assembly is an important time in our preparation for our daily tasks and therefore should not be taken lightly.. . It is a time when we are brought up-to-date about matters that may affect our training for that day and also may have some important information that we need to know immediately.. . This might include notification about visits to our school by a variety of visitors and the behavior expected of everyone.. . It might be about areas in the school grounds that are out-of-bounds due to maintenance work on that day.. . We regret the bad example we set for ourselves and to our fellow students and not least our own foolishness.. . We ask that you forgive us for the disrespect we have shown and promise that this will not happen again.. . Sincerely,. . You all sign your names. . Now before you decide to write every word that I have written above, please take the time to sit together and use your own words.. . Complete one paragraph at a time. Don't forget to leave white space between each paragraph like I have in the letter above. This is important.. . The reason I ask this is because we all speak using our own style of speaking - it is our speaking fingerprint so to say. You need your letter to be word-perfect - no spelling mistakes and typed on A4 clean white paper.. . You should not fold the letter, place it in an A4 envelope.

I'm writing a book and a character has changed is name by deed pool in 1988 I need info regarding this, does your whole life records change eg birth certificte or is a note just put on your record in the national archives.

If you are going to apply to an "admin" type of job, you should have good Office skills. Now what one person calls "proficient skills", another might call those "beginner" level, so this is a sort of gray zone. But at the least, you should know how to edit text, do find/replace, know formatting (bold/italics), outlining/centering, and how to work with bullets. In Excel, you should know how to write basic formulas (sums, multiplication) and how to copy/paste formulas, values, and transpose cells. Filtering and sorting would also be good to know. There are many online sites where you can brush up your skills while waiting for your job interview.
